Doesn't matter if they are currently negative. They should be in quarantine for 14 days. Complete crap from a joke program.
If we are such a joke program , you wouldn't be on our board throwing a fit in many posts. You'd shut up and move on. But instead you are whining like a little child.

Also nobody is scared of fricken Georgia Southern. Give me a break

Your school wasted a lot of other people's time and money knowing that had 0 chance of playing.
1. Fans who had already driven up on Friday to attend the game on Saturday. Wasted time for some who then just had to drive back. Wasted money on hotels they couldn't get refunded due to such short notice. Plus gas, food etc...

2. GS team wasting time preparing for an opponent they wouldn't be playing.

3. ESPN having already setup at our stadium having to repack and move it to another location.

Yea I say you guys wasted a lot of peoples time and money and owe them an apology. But apparently you guys are too arrogant and think playing you is a privilege.

Just got to laugh at such absurdity. Enjoy your next 2 weeks off cause you obviously shouldn't be playing next week either with the numbers that should still be out.

Welcome to football in 2020.

Pretty much. I dont blame FAU for having players get sick. Its going to happen. Just got handled very poorly.

Just got a feeling that the coach probably just wants to prep for the conference schedule. The USF game should also be canceled due to the numbers still in quarantine.

Good luck in conference and hopefully your championship game can be moved to a week later to accommodate the rescheduled game.

The poor handling is what everyone is upset with. FAU is so good at contact tracing and preventative measures that they might get to hold a football a month from now. Have fun losing to UTSA in your season opener ya buncha hooters.

GaSo girls are pretty bitter.

It’s actually pretty funny.

If they do play next Saturday then it just proves they were able to play this past Saturday OR they knew well in advance they couldn't field a team for our game. Either way just shows the type of program you run.

FAU acting high and mighty when their team literally punked out of a game because they would rather get ready for another one. Talk about classless. You had the ability to play, but chose not to. Admit you are classless and we can move on.

This should put the issue to sleep:

https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2020/9/1...ing-spread

"Southern waited until about 3 hours before game time last Saturday to announce that a third of the roster and 8 starters were out for the opener."

So, our GaSo contingent better shut the hell up.

It's called having the aptitude and organizational skills to run a program even when curve balls come your way. Something FAU wouldn't understand. Just admit y'all wanted an extra week to prep for USF or stop posting.

You had only 8 starters missing. We had an entire position group missing. You played at home (which is why you could wait until 3 hours before the game), we had to travel. You had to play an FCS Campbell. We had to play FBS opposition.

FAU has made the right choice. AND we told you guys ON MONDAY, with 5 days to spare that we might not show up.

Even in high school you have guys with multiple position roles. We would have had whole position groups out too if we didn't have guys that could fill the holes where they could. That's not an excuse. And if you guys knew you couldn't come on MONDAY way did you wait until less than 24 HOURS until kickoff to pull the plug?

I know why and it's exactly what you said. Y'all weren't prepared to play an FBS football plain and simple. COVID just provided a convenient excuse. If y'all really had 11 players test positive on Friday, y'all would not be gearing up to play a home game this weekend.

We had notified your coach and your DA (according to them) on Monday. And that is the only thing that matters. If YOU did not know, blame your coach and your DA.

Plus, if you have a whole position group missing (let's say the O-line), who would you have playing in their place? Think of what you are saying.

Plus why would anyone fear Southern?

Ask your coaching staff. They're the ones that didn't want to play.

FAU fans are really dense. You should've canceled before Wednesday and your coach knew it. No one has said FAU was scared, I even said you would probably win.
We had 2 positive cases and most of the rest of the 33 out were contact tracing. Our coaches knew who was available well before the game, they just didn't release it until the day of. The point is your pathetic program knew it didn't want to play this game and would rather get ready for the USF game. So they claim they have all these positive cases, which would mean even more contact tracing, and canceled at the last minute. Now you magically have 0 cases and no one needs to remain in quarantine. So you can hold practice and prep for your home game. It was a crap move and you used Covid as an excuse. Classless program and fans.

RE: ****W3-POSTPONED: FAU @ GaSo, 3:30ET, Sat., ESPN****
The main question the FAU fans are doing parkour in this thread to avoid answering is this:

If you really had 11 positive cases last Friday, and an additional 14 players out due to contact tracing, including the entire O-Line, enough that y'all had to cancel the game over it, then how in the world are y'all able to suddenly safely and easily play USF a mere 7 days later?

It's because y'all cancelled our game because you didn't want to play it. It's that simple and that's all we want y'all to see. You don't even have to admit it out loud. Just accept it.

We had 33 players out for our first game, and we still played ball. A majority of those players were going to be out for the FAU game as well because that's the quarantine guidelines. If you guys had so many out that y'all had to cancel the game, but have them back this week, then y'all either lied or y'all aren't following the guidelines. Neither of those scenarios speaks highly of your program.

FAU just did what a kid would do. They didn't want to go to school and faked an illness.

You owe us a home game and it'll hopefully be played later this year. Otherwise we can squeeze you in about 5 or 6 years. But honestly would rather play someone else.

We will play DEC 5th 2020. You aren't going to the CCG.

And who knows, maybe GS comes down with a 24hr flu the day before the game at FAU.

Did you just call us Georgia State? 04-chairshot

We are just trying to make these rocks in Florida understand that they pulled a d bag move. It'll likely backfire on them too. They have all these new cases the week leading up to our game and they magically dissapear this week AND they get to not maintain any sort of quarantine protocols. What a joke and classless.

I also find it funny they think they will play in the CCG. I'm guessing its the top team from each division that goes.
