Congrats Marshall. Our defense played well, but you took it to our oline which I was very surprised by and that punched fumble was a HUGE play.

The Sun Belt is a good bit better than CUSA, but not unbeatable. Very stout Marshall team. Sometimes you get beat.

If we are being real, the reason the Belt is better is because our bottom half. Recently is has been App and everyone else.

That's fair, but after the drubbing of the Big 12 and Louisiana's rise to success, we may have a few more good teams at the top.

Last years champ, the App team I saw the last two weeks doesn’t make the SBC championship Game this year, so much to work on, especially special teams (Abysmal through two games). Enjoy this one well deserved.

This was Troy's first game of the season. We broke in a sophomore quarterback with less than 100 collegiate yards to his name. MTSU might not be what they used to be, for sure. But they didn't get blown out by APP or Louisiana, they got beat by 34 points by a sub .500 team.

As I'm getting ready to head back to the other side of the mountains, wanted to give a couple thoughts.
1st, congrats Marshall. Very rarely do I see App lose the LOS, it happened today and the main reason you guys got the dub. That punch to force the fumble was text book and shows y'all are well coached. You guys were clearly the better team today.
2nd, you guys are great host. All the fans I meet at the game were cordial, friendly, and would welcome me and my wife to Huntington. Talked to several Herd fans who agreed with me that this game needs to be a yearly occurrence. I already respected you guys, but you were really impressive as fan base. Thank you for being respectful.
3rd, 1st time in Huntington, and I hope to come back. Enjoyed my short time in town, reminded me a little of Boone just a little bigger. Every one was nice, city was clean, and sweet place to see with the mountains and the river.
4th, shout out to Riley who suggested HillBilly Hotdogs. Atmosphere was great and food was even better. Enjoy it.

Best of luck to Marshall rest of the season. Hope we can return the favor when y'all return to Boone. Both in hospitality and competitive game ... with a home team win. Appreciate it guys.

When is the last time the “class of CUSA” actually won the conference. BTW 2014 for those that don’t know.

That said solid win and God knows CUSA needed it. Now the Appy fans can go back to the Sunbelt board.
