Exclamation Classic games in your schools history thread
With the regular season being pushed back for ECU I'm getting kinda bored. Accordingly, I would be interested to watch some of the best old school games in your schools history. Here's the TBS coverage of #19 ECU @ NCSU in 1983. This was the largest crowd ever to see a football game in the state of NC at the time.

If you were able to watch, posted on another thread, the UT - UCF game in the brand new stadium. I could only get the partial on YouTube, but recorded it the game on one of the ESPiN channels. Can't wait to watch again.

This game had everything. Two good teams playing with something on the line. High drama, a huge 4th quarter comeback, and of course the good guys won. Additionally I think this was the first meeting between two ranked teams in AAC conference play history so thats neat as well.

I was a fan, for all, but the Penn State game. I do not remember the Bc game though. I did listen to the Cincy Wvu game in 03 in my drive way. I had to pull the car up just right so I could get the signal. Last second field goal loss if I remember right. Lastly, a game I should have listed was the Uc/hawaii game. The "this is a disgrace" game. I remember it was a late start because the game did not end till like two in the morning. The funny thing, I had to call our cable company and they delivered a special box for five bucks so I could watch the game. Boy times have changed.

Cincy V Memphis 2015 - I know we lost this game, but it was a fun one to watch. Hayden Moore only played 3 quarters and set the all time passing yards record for a game for UC.

Tulsa vs Notre Dame 2010 is an all-time classic for TU.

Multiple trick plays, multiple turnovers, a hook and lateral TD, a pick six, a punt return TD, starting QB knocked out, a blocked extra point returned for 2, a game ending pick in the endzone. This game had it all.

Hasn't everybody beaten Notre Dame in South Bend before?

This game did give birth to a somewhat popular meme, too...

Sadly, it was also the last time Skip Holtz did anything redeeming as USF's coach.

RE: Classic games in your schools history thread
When the UC football program was established in 1885 it underwent several years of not so great football. However in 1894 it began to climb into respectability with a major victory against the U of Kentucky. The cats, coached by W. Durant Berry (who later became a MD and practiced in New England) beat the KY Wildcats 32 to 4. Kentucky was at that time a respected football program, unlike they are today.

Berry not only coached the team but played both offense and at times defense and for some years was known as our greatest coach-player.

After 135 years of playing the game true UC fans still recognize this as one of our greatest wins.

Not lately.

ND went 7-0 at home last year, 6-0 in 2018 and 6-1 in 2017 (the lone loss was to Georgia in the season's second game, by one point).

So, ND is 19-1 at home the last three seasons, including an 18 game home winning streak.

A Thursday game with big ratings. Good watch. Cheating Memphis thugs.

Texas A&M at Tulsa, 1991. The next week they almost took down number 1 Miami. They finished 10-2 with a win over Marshall Faulk’s SDSU team in the Freedom Bowl in Anaheim.

Not that significant of a game in UH history but for Tulsa fans, the UH-Tulsa game in 1968 is the most important moment in their programs history.
