2020

09/05 - at Virginia Tech Canceled
09/12 - North Carolina A&T Canceled
09/19 - at WKU
09/26 - FIU
10/03 - at Bowling Green
10/10 - ULM
10/17 - at Syracuse Canceled
10/24 - Southern Miss
10/31 - at UConn Canceled
11/14 - Western Carolina
11/21 - at NC State Canceled
11/28 - UMass

WCU is FCS, which makes them very likely to cancel the season, as half the schools in FCS already have.

One has to wonder how many of those other schools on their schedule will fold shop. Dicey proposition.

Who exactly could they buy to play them?

Oof, this is an awkward look:

So at this point they have basically saved their season with 10 games. Falls in line with the average of most FBS schools at this point. 07-coffee3 04-cheers

ODU has lost more games than Liberty at this point. Ideally we work out to play Liberty on 9/5 & ECU on 9/12. That'd leave us with an open date either 10/3 or 10/24

I would not be surprised to hear that a matchup is in the works for Liberty & ODU. Gives both teams another game, & both reside within the more strict COVID guidelines of Virginia, so more likely to see the game through.

I think our biggest issue is trying to find a replacement for our UVA home game as it was set for October. The early season games should be able to be worked out with nearby teams. I wouldn't be against taking another ass whooping from App though. Seems somehow more respectable than an ass beating from Liberty. 03-banghead

I'd be 100% okay with pushing the GaSo October game to end of the season and take ODU in Oct. App and GaSo could use a last game of season as a stand in for both's bowl game and give it some extra hate flavor.

That'd be best case scenario for us as far as salvaging our OOC

There is nothing wrong with playing less than 12 games, as some conferences are doing. Like the idea of having long breaks between games for any possible Covid-19 guaranteeing for 14 days issues. 10 is fine and 8 is acceptable.

Yes, looks like a nice schedule, a little P5 heavy but you guys should be able to handle it.
