I went to Conant High School in Hoffman Estates. Go Cougars!

I live a few miles from Conant and walk by Hoffman Estates High most days during my exercise routine.

That top 25 video has LSU pretty high. I was surprised USC at 15. I thought they should have been a lot higher. One of the best in my book.

In the AAC, it's consistent. Memphis has the best FB team, best fight song, best cheerleaders and highest ranking in several polls. Just the way it is......GTG!

I actually listened to the whole thing. The only 2 memorable ones are #1 and #2. Most are bland. The bottom 4 are forgettable.

This guy must have similar musical tastes to mine.

Btw, only way to get objective opinions on this is to have a poll and not allow voting for your own school. Of course, even then, people will vote for the school they hate the least, not the song, lol.

I agree with others that the best fight songs are ND, Michigan and So Cal.

I like Tulane's fight song the most. It's very festive and uplifting, has an "up" feeling.

Houston's fight song is quite punchy and memorable. I like it.

However, there is one and only one fight song among them that is well known and played by high school marching bands all around the nation - - and that's Navy's. It's a classic and a standard.

In my HS marching band, we frequently played several fight songs in parades: ND, Michigan, MSU, OSU ("across the field"), Navy, Air Force ("off we go into the wild blue yonder"), the Marines Hymn ("From the Halls of Montezuma..."), "Under the Double Eagle," and various John Phillips Souza marches.

So, which conferences are represented in this list of High School marching band fight songs?

Big Ten: Michigan, MSU, OSU

MWC: Air Force

AAC: Navy *2 (including the Marines Hymn)
