Heh, we owned UNC under Ruff, and didn't really let off in the Scottie Mo era either LOL.

Larry taught me the Jedi mind trick of how to forget.

Temple broke us. Rolled into Philly with a ranking, but without rain gear. What a friggin mess.

Yep. I remember before the Temple game ECU was the favorite for the big “G5” access bowl game and I was predicting Notre Dame as the opponent. I’d have to dig a bit to find the thread, but that game broke my heart and the back of ECU football. It was all down hill after that with 3 more losses and an 8-5 season with a loss to a bad Florida team in the bowl. It’s been a brutal 5 years since. With UCONN gone ECU has been the worst FB team in the conference.

ECU football, like Tulsa, doesn't get the credit it deserves in the AAC. Both due to untimely down turns since around the time we joined the conference. Both can bounce back and compete for conference titles though. The ECU fan base is a sleeping giant waiting to come alive.

Yep, first non-power team to be ranked in the new CFP ranking system. Just didn't last long.

We're pretty terrible, and have a long way to go. A big thing we had going for us before was that, despite being bad in conference, we were handling our OOC schedule. That all changed under Mo with 2 losses to FCS teams in a row after NEVER having lost to one. That's a streak we'll never be able to live down.

The only thing we really have going for us now is that our fanbase watches the other AAC games. Something to be said for eyeballs, but need to at least get to where we're winning OOC again.

We also had a chancellor and AD that pissed away money, fired and alumnus, hired a joke, and walked away with a big package after alienating a large part of the fanbase. It will take us a lot of time, to recover from that mess and loss of $$$.

I also do most of my walking away with a big package. Couldn't help it...sorry.

This game broke UCF as well; we went on an 0-13 run after it. 03-lmfao

That 0-13 run ended the era of the Cardiac Knights, led to GOL's downfall, and pushed us to make a bold coaching hire that reversed all those bad things in historic time.

Somehow I never put it together, but yeah after that game it was a very long road to our next win.

I'm glad someone enjoys our misery.

Just remember, everyone one of us is one bad hire away from kersplash. 'cept ECU of course...we are already there.
