RE: TEXAS WILL SAVE YOU
I always liked Texas and they love TN because we helped pull their asses out of the fire. In fact if I didn't live here and couldn't live somewhere like Montana or Wyoming, Texas would be my choice. Can't we all just get along?

No self-respecting Southerner needs Texas to lead them to anything. I have a lot of close family ties to Tennessee. As has been pointed out by that wing of the family in regards to Texas, “We’re still waiting on our thank you card.”

Before of our Texas brethren get the wrong idea, a lot of that is in jest. Mostly.

Yeah, a lot of Tennesseans and Kentuckians died at the Alamo and Goliad so that the Texians could whip Santa Anna at San Jacinto.

I’ve been stuck at home too long........

You do realize Texas is part of the South.

People in the Southeast thinks the South ends somewhere in Louisiana. Kind of like Ohioans view the midwest as Big 10 country while Kansans view it as the Great Plains to somewhere in Illinois.

I think it was pretty clear that I was mostly joking. Mostly.

Bullet has a point, though. I think a lot of us from the southeast view Louisiana and Arkansas as being kind of the western border of the South and view Texas as kind of a favorite cousin.

Btw, I’ve always enjoyed my time in Texas. Except for Killeen and Ft. Hood. Never. Again.

Texas is a big place. We are part of the South and we are part of the West. And, we were an independent country. Texas was part of the Confederacy during the Civil War. That cements Texas as part of the South. Where people view the boundary is irreverent. Glad you enjoy coming to Texas.

I mean, ok. This doesn’t really seem like something worth getting worked up over.
