To be fair, Fargo is 1072 miles from Frisco while Harrisonburg is 1195 miles. That's not that huge of a difference when you're driving over a thousand miles. Besides, both fanbases are probably flying anyway, and I imagine it's a lot cheaper to fly to Dallas from Richmon or DC or Norfolk than it is from North Dakota.
Also, Chattanooga would decidedly favor JMU as it is MUCH closer to JMU than it is to NDSU.
It's not distance, rather, it is the fact that Frisco unabashedly caters to the Bison. I don't blame Frisco (hosting is about $$$, and NDSU brings the $$$), but it just makes for a crappy experience if you're not wearing green and yellow.
For example, the stadium this year had 2 people running security on our entrance. They were wanding each and every person. The line was easily 5000+ deep, and a ton of us missed this majority of the first quarter. NDSU's entrance had no such issues.
It's just things like that, repeated over and over. It doesn't feel neutral at all.
Did you actually go look @ the NDSU side?
It was trash for us as well. I've just known better and started heading to the stadium 45 minute earlier. Two people wanding = 30+ minute wait just to get to the ticket counter.
It's ******* dumb and Frisco should do a better job.
Most NDSU people I talked with said they had no issues getting in. I'm going off what I was told in Frisco and what I read on forums afterward.

Its possible thats because the majority of their fans were inside earlier. I went in early, and had no trouble on the JMU side. Saw most bison fans in their seats or walking around. Most of our fans tried to hang out longer at tailgates I believe than the average bison fan did.
Doesn't mean Frisco handled it well, but our fans are spoiled by having relatively quick entrance for a large crowd. BFS overall is managed better.

Yes, playing under the lights creates a more exciting fan / game atmosphere. I miss that aspect about the game being played in Chatty.
Frisco has nothing to do with the start time, it will be an early game no matter where it is being played as long as the game stays in Jan. TV does not want to compete with NFL playoffs. Move it back to Dec and it would probably be a night game again.
But Orlando or somewhere in EST would at least put the game at noon instead of 11. Switching to CST is a tap to the nads.

Maybe Harrisonburg should host the championship then? :

I cannot accept even 1% of the blame for getting in line at 10:15am & still missing the first JMU score.

This is true. Entering 45 minutes early should be ample time. We got in line at 9:50 and made to our seats at 10:40. It should never take that long.
