We scored 2 points over the last 8:45 and lost 60-57. Let me repeat that...
2 points over the last 8:45.
Nijal Pearson didn't play as he had a baby girl earlier today. I'm really worried about this team next year without him. We may be a mess offensively.

It was a nutty game. In the first half alone, Texas State went on a 19-0 run and App responded with a 13-0 run.
Forrest hit the game-winner from the same spot as the Georgia Southern game winner and the Arkansas State OT-forcer. He likes that spot 3-4 feet behind the 3 line, just to the left of the top of the key.

. . . that is simply pathetic . .
I never cease to be amazed at the way we continue to find new and creative ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Out on the court yelling "**** you!!! **** you!!!" at a ref is usually a good recipe to get tossed.
Coastal up 36-21 with about 4 minutes left in the half.
. .. . Gotta love his passion .. .

If we were underrated last year, we (UTA) are certainly overrated this year. Dang, I miss Scott Cross! I'm seeing less and less merit in AD Jim Baker's decision to replace the winningest coach in UTA history with his friend from Austin. I know we can't go back now, but Ogden's antics today were a sad show. We are now 5 games below .500 and showing few signs of life. Maybe it's time to start looking for an upgrade in the coaching department.
Yeah, I'm still scratching my head over that one. Cross was not only a winner, but a product of the school, and hugely popular. Most AD's would have had the good sense not to rock that boat.

What happened to the Cajuns coach early in the GS game? Couldn't hear what happened but saw him go ballistic.

Without context, I’d say that’s just Bob Marlin being Bob Marlin.

Bob's seat is hot.. He got a t for protesting a bad call, then lost his composure and went ballistic. It is all on Bob. Really bad look.

App’s defense vs. Texas Statey in the second half was clutch.
This team has stretches where they can really lock teams down.
Next weekend likely decides if App gets a single or double bye as they travel to GA.

It has certainly been a depressing season but I didnt have very high hopes to start with..the mavs dont have much size and so dont get many second shots. add to that the poor shooting of last year's leading scorer and you have a dismal season..Ogden hasnt brought in any top level players so the net result of the coaching change is that we no longer are trending up but have started to decline.

Our leading scorer, Azore, is the last remaining Cross recruit. Baker has a lot of "splaining" to do. We may have to become WBB fans for the rest of 2020, but I'd be happy to eat my words if this crew were to win the next seven in a row.

the girls have been pretty scrappy..just cant beat the top couple of teams. also the girls softball team took 2 out of 3 from A&M this weekend, may have to forget BB and focus on baseball/softball. I think if I was Azore I would transfer out. sit out a year but get two free years of school to finish degree.

Azore has already had one redshirt season. I hope he stays, plus they recruit some help for him next year.
