A little luster has been taken off the upcoming match-up between ASU and LR, next Saturday, with ASU losing 2 at home this week. Still it is almost always a great game with a crowd and overall atmosphere that make it feel like a "real" college basketball game (i.e. I can take my 2 boys, that graduated from UNC and Kansas, to the game without feeling embarrassed).

If we have any real chance at a top 2 or maybe even top 4 seed we have to sweep the Louisiana schools on the road this week. Not at all convinced that we will

We're trying to hunt down the Georgia schools, but they've got it much easier than we do this week. Sweeping the Carolina road trip probably isn't very likely for us, yet 1-1 won't feel satisfying in any way. 0-2 is a real possibility and will be demoralizing. I hate road trips...

Two days old, but didn’t see here... Coastal has their 2nd leading scorer, Brewton, up and leave the program. Sigh. We are never going anywhere while Ellis lingers.

Little Rock is the best team then a mess of teams after that. This league is truly about impossible to predict

48-27 TXST over Coastal at the half.

I'm not sure we've ever scored 48 in a half vs. a D1 team under Kaspar. Sorry Chants, we were abnormally on fire that half.

Well if 48 was a new high then it only lasted about an hour. We scored 52 in the 2nd half...

Nice road win for us. . . . maybe some things starting to come together for this team.

We beat ULM by 2. They narrowly missed a half court 3 pointer at the buzzer that would have won it

UTA went 2-24 (two of twenty-four) from three tonight.

App is now technically one game out of second place.

Cajuns take down GSU in Lafayette.

Little Rock now 3 games clear of 2nd with GSU, GS, and TXST all tied there.

Cajuns were down 13 with eight minutes left. Down nine at the final media time out. Held GSU without a field goal in the last 4:56. Freshman Mylik Wilson hits a layup with 2.1 to go for the game winner.

Chris Ogden was just tossed from the UTA/Coastal game.

Out on the court yelling "**** you!!! **** you!!!" at a ref is usually a good recipe to get tossed.

The conference race after Little Rock is a jumble. GaSt with 5 losses. Texas St and App with 6. We have 5 currently and play at Louisiana tonight.

If we were underrated last year, we (UTA) are certainly overrated this year. Dang, I miss Scott Cross! I'm seeing less and less merit in AD Jim Baker's decision to replace the winningest coach in UTA history with his friend from Austin. I know we can't go back now, but Ogden's antics today were a sad show. We are now 5 games below .500 and showing few signs of life. Maybe it's time to start looking for an upgrade in the coaching department.
