Obviously we picked up MLB Ivan Pace, 2nd Team All-MAC DE Lonnie Phelphs transferred to Kansas and now 1st Team All-MAC DE Kameron Butler and S Cecil Singleton has entered the portal.
Might be a reason their co-defensive coordinators both moved to Athens Ohio. Who would want to deal with that?

Haven't watched enough Miami to have a strong opinion on Kameron Butler in terms of the film, but given his statistics and accolades, he looks like a guy we would love to have. He's probably not a 1-for-1 replacement for Myjai, but he's likely more ready to play than anyone else who would slot into that position.
He’s already racking up some good offers: Penn State, Ole Miss and Virginia.

The three-star tight end was UC's only 2022 commitment that didn't sign an NLI last month.
CINCINNATI — Danny Lewis Jr. is reopening his recruitment ahead of the February signing window. The former Cincinnati commit announced the news on Twitter.
According to 247Sports, Lewis is a three-star recruit out of W probestgate High School (La.). He is the 46th ranked tight end nationally and committed to Cincinnati on Sept. 6.
He held offers from schools like Florida, Indiana, Arizona State, and Colorado.
Whylie coming back probably had a lot to do with it.....
Just my take but I doubt it since this will be Whyle's last year and true freshmen seldom get much quality playing time at our program. My guess is LSU getting involved late (thanks denbrock :( ) was the bigger factor.

Takes:
1) BK is the biggest sellout idiot a$$ of All T
2) Only watched a bit of both but I’d take Marcus Peterson (may fit the more big receiver mold than TE) than Danny Lewis all day long from what I’ve seen (granted a bit more of pure athletic potential)
3) Of course, would love to have them both and think Lewis will be a very good player
4) Glad Bama got him over all the other suitors
5) F BK

I'd probably take the one that got offered by Alabama, especially when they aren't playing the same position, but hey, that's just me.

I'd add the following:
6) This staff clearly has an eye for talent. We offered Lewis a year ago, well before he blew up. Pretty impressive to be that tuned into a kid from Louisiana.

RE: FB Class of 2022
The youngest son of Elder High School football coach Doug Ramsey will be staying home for his college football as Drew Ramsey announced Tuesday his plans to be a Cincinnati Bearcat.
A former high school nemesis of his father helped persuade him.
UC cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator Kerry Coombs used his sports salesmanship skills to recruit Ramsey. After coaching Colerain High School football until 2006, Coombs has since been at UC, Ohio State, the Tennessee Titans, back to the Buckeyes and now back with the Bearcats
"I talked to him quite a bit," Ramsey said. "He seemed like he wanted me and I wanted to be coached by him. As soon as I visited UC, I knew that's where I wanted to be."
A PWO he had offers from Miami and Toledo

Another sign that UC has "arrived" as a football contender. Recruits capable of earning scholarship offers from MAC schools prefer to bypass a free ride to walk-on and be part of something bigger. My guess is he will develop and earn minutes on specials teams and elsewhere providing quality depth.
