So we can officially write off the claims that Riller was poor against us because he was hurt. All about Loewe.

Awful final shot and Hofstra escapes with the W. Nice crowd for a Thursday night game.

Loewe was great on D, but it really helps when you have a strong rim protector in Nate to help you out if someone drives by you. We gameplanned to not have Riller beat us, which I'm surprised other teams in the CAA haven't tried to do.

Charleston is really a 2 person team in Riller and Galloway, with McManus having the occasional good game. Key in on Riller and don't let Galloway go off and they will struggle

Hofstra called one of them also.

That was a really poorly designed play though... You had guys running to both corners of the court where it is easy to defend because its a smaller area, a center standing about 30 feet from the hoop, and the guy that got the inbounds pass 4 feet from the inbounder and immediately tripled by Hofstra. Honestly, I don't think you can draw up a worse play than that

20 of 23 from the line, with some clutch shots late. That will win you a few games, home OR on the road.

If this keeps up, Dane Fischer should get strong consideration for national coach of the year. He is doing one hell of a job with this bunch of rag tag guys thrown together just a couple of months ago. Samantha Huge is somewhere smiling like a butcher’s dog right about now. Hope we get Barnes back soon. Safe travels to Philly and let’s get that dub against the Dragons Saturday!

Remember, that’s a brand new (interim) inept coach on UNCW’s bench. Looks like he had his team playing hard, though.

Oh yeah, I forgot they fired their coach. Well, I hope he burns that play he drew up from his (and my) memory.

UNCW is a weird team because they seem to come out with a lot of effort each game, but just lack talent and can't win games

Different night ... different story ... different hero ... different player hurt ... certain aspects of the performance are poor ... same result ... a Tribe road victory.

Hats off to staff and squad .... this is some chapter that they are writing!

Let's not get too wild. This is probably the worst the CAA has ever been and he has arguably one of the strongest front courts in the nation, mid-major or power 5.

Agree he has done a great job with the team and did not expect this success thus far, but it's not like he doesn't have talent on this team

If we can keep our turnovers under 10, I like our chances in most games we will play

If my (rusty) math is right: the bench was 9-11 (81.8%) and the starters were 13-48 (27.1%).

That is unbelievable!

NE came back from 17 down against us although, fortunately, we pulled out the win. Then they did the same thing against Hofstra, but lost that one too. Now they have done it against CofC and this time they got the win. Those guys are developing a "never say die" attitude and that is tough to overcome in an opponent. NE is definitely the team I fear the most in the tournament. Delaware with their outrageous treys that somehow most always go in, they are the second one. Today's game was giving me flashbacks to the second half of last year's CAAT game.

If Miguel can have a decent game on Saturday then he would have a good chance for Rookie of the Week this week.

As I said above, Delaware is to be feared ......because they can be both lucky and good.

Many posters mentioned many facets to explain the victory, all of them true (assist-to-turnover ratio, bench scoring, etc). I think this FT stat is as important as any.

Wow. Just another ho-hum CAA road win. With our two stars shooting <30% from the field, and only 20% from deep. This team just knows how to win.

FT shooting, <10 turnovers, and Ayesa are what won the game for us.

My hat goes off to these guys and our coaches. I’ve never been so excited to watch our team play. Go Tribe! One game at a time. Let’s return home on Saturday night with another 2-0 road trip.

We are a selfless, tough minded, unflappable team that plays solid team defense. We play with an even keeled blue collar mentality and confidently follow a game plan that every player buys into. I love watching this team play.

Scott had two ugly turnovers down the stretch. On one of them, he slowed to argue with the ref instead of hustling for the loose ball. I'd like to see Ayesa take some minutes away from him.
