I thought it was a Dump when I visited a few years ago in the Birmingham Bowl against Auburn. All it needed was a track surrounding the field like a HS stadium.

Hell Auburn and Alabama Fans are the reason that place still stands! They cry every time there is mention of it being torn down because they love the "history" there. 03-puke

The Citrus Bowl...when UCF was utilizing it as a home field...was pretty awful.

Also, Candlestick park circa right before demo was awful.

Yeah I forgot about RFK in 2010 for the Military Bowl. Terrible.

While Levi Stadium in Santa Clara CA is an up to date brand new stadium, the design of it is absolutely awful...parking is horrendous to non-existent, and the logistics of getting into the stadium are by far the most idiotic design I have every seen. Ugh.

P5: I wasn't all that impressed by Clemson's Memorial Stadium. Upper deck is vertigo inducing steep. Upper deck access is horrendous. Concessions are a joke, outside of $2 bottle waters which was a pleasant surprise. Whole outside stadium access is poorly laid out.

G5: ODU prior to the last rebuild.

FCS: Hagood Stadium. Literally falling apart around you as you sit there.

since you mentioned it, you are right. that place was just horrible but its abandoned for 20 years now and legion is still open for business. my last visit to old Cardinal Stadium was in 1996 and we played UAB in Legion Field in 1997 and as i recall it, Legion Field was nicer if you can believe it

Yeah, if I'm being totally honest it's Nippert when I was a student at Cincinnati in the late 80's. Reminded me of a concrete gladiator arena stained with sweat, mold, and blood. My gosh the stadium interior and turf reflected enough heat in the summer to melt coins.

Wait, I forgot about the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium if your field of view got blocked by one of those gosh-forsaken steel columns. 03-lmfao

San Jose St - hands down. That place Looks forward to the day it could be considered a dump.

The bleachers are metal benches that are so thin they flex and roll over a steeply pitched concrete slope. Concessions were in temporary outbuildings all pooled in one end zone.

But alas we wont be in that stadium after next football season and that cant come soon enough.

Good ... Still pulling for you guys to get an American invite. And getting rid of that dump is a big step. Whats the cap on the new place. And will this place be used for the Bowl game, etc.

By cap do you mean size or cost? Size is 45,000 with the ability to expand to 55,000 and the price came in around $179million.
The bowl game will move to the new stadium also.
Another positive is that the SEC headquarters is right across the street So as we walk to the stadium we can give them the middle finger and wave 05-stirthepot

Old Cardinal Stadium was indeed a dump. I had guys that played there tell me it was like getting tackled on concrete. Tailgating was amazing there. Louisville played its last football game there in 1997.

They demolished that place last summer.

Worst stadium I have ever been to was the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Honestly the stadium wasn’t bad, the neighborhood on the other hand, was like south side of Chicago or 1980’s Beirut.

Georgetown's Multi-Purpose Field, Cooper Field or whatever they're calling it these days. A school like Georgetown should have MUCH better facilities for their FCS/D1 football program.

When I visited the Yale Bowl in 2004 it was literally crumbling to ground. They started to refurbish it when I returned for a game in 2016. From what I gather, it's now considered "respectable" which is great news given the stadium's history.
