Can Lou just resign? What in the hell is the purpose of him shedding his jacket and walking up and down the sideline with his hands on his hips? Have we had enough?

That’s not the first time, inexcusable. Be accountable.

That’s the leader of JMU basketball for ya. The man that was going to add excitement back to this program. The man that says he won’t make excuses for this team. The man that doesnt practice what he preaches.
The man that loves JMU and is destroying the fan base. He was in way over his head from day one and has done nothing to bring back the fans and only making things worse.
If he truly loves JMU he needs to do the right thing and admit defeat, step down and let a real head coach bring JMU basketball back.
Unfortunately he is too proud to admit he just cant do it and will drag JMU down to the depths with him.

RE: MBB Against Northeastern Tonight or Something?
No D1 team should shoot under 60% from FT more than a couple times per season. Sometimes you have a bad night and that happens. Even excluding the UVA game where they only shot 6 FTs (and hit 2), there were 6 games shooting under 60%...out of 11 games if you don't include UVA. That's ridiculous. In over half our games we haven't even hit 60% of our FTs. That's pathetic. We're not even halfway through the season. They shot over 80% twice.

You shot .565, so that was a good guess. It turned out that making every free throw wouldn't have helped. As a Hofstra fan, it's scary that Northeastern looks really good, and Hofstra goes there on January 9.

4 man bench tonight. Only Wooden and Jacobs saw extended minutes (16 & 17)

Parker shooting 37.5% from the FT on the season after a 3-7 performance last night. 23.3% on the season from 3.

Dukes 3-15 from 3 last night, led by Banks going 1-8. (2-9 & 3-8 in previous 2 games).

Side note : In 9 games Dwight Wilson has shot 16 free throws.

I keep hearing about all of this talent we have and I'm sorry, the ones making these statements undoubtedly have more basketball insight than I do because I have next to none, but with all due respect take off your purple glasses. Any halfway coordinated/athletic human could go to a gym, practice for 5 minutes, and shoot 50% from the free throw line. These are D1 scholarship athletes that are about to get a brand new very expensive gym to play in. Talent? Man, I hope we find more "talent" next year.

"Talent", or lack-thereof, isn't the problem. It's coaching. Ever since he's been here, what has he done to improve the team? When he he ever out-coached someone? These teams seems to always be the same exact team they were when the season began. They seem to have the same tendencies and make the same mistakes. We let other teams drive to the basket and never seem to know what to do to stop it.
And that's supposed to change if we give him another year??
I guarantee if we let him stay this team will be exactly what it is now.... a bunch of talent with no direction. We may win games due to athleticism, but Rowe will never out maneuver another coach. He will never make adjustments that will cause us to win a game. He is what he is what he is. And that is not a Division I head coach.
Attendance will plummet next year in a brand new arena and good luck trying to bring fans back. They are already leaving in exodus.
Men's basketball is the definition of insanity... doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

The good news is that football season isn't over yet.

Go Dukes, beat the Bison.

RE: MBB Against Northeastern Tonight or Something?
JMU has lost at home to two of the likely top three teams in the CAA this year.

Next they play at UNCW who looks to be one of the two doormats this year on the road. This is a game JMU should win.

Following UNCW is CofC which looks to be the 3rd top team in the CAA this year.

The team will likely be 1-3 heading into games against other middle of the pack CAA teams.

I know this start will lower the bar for a dwindling few who will say the team has improved come March, but this team should not have started this bad. I do think their talent is as good as anyone in the league, and their coaching the worst. The freshman class looks strong, but we also returned some talented players this year.

Middle of the pack after the first 4 years is not good enough heading into a new arena.

Is it possible attendance next year could average less than 3,500 in a new arena excluding the home opener and UVA? Wonder how long it will take for the new arena to wear off for the students? Could it be as early as 2 or 3 games? JMU has never had more Students attend football games and has never had less students attend Men's basketball games.

agreed... I'm ashamed at how much enjoyment I get when this team not only loses but loses big... Come March, I want there to be no doubt that a change HAS to be made.

Lou skipping the post presser is inexcusable... shows how not ready he is for DivI... you can't take the heat of a home press corps? GTFOH!

I mentioned him skipping because I always want to hear his perspective on the game I just listened to. Announcers have their perspective, I have mine, and I'm curious what Lou's thinking. However, if he is going long in the locker room with the team and just happens to miss the time window for the broadcast, I don't think that is the worst thing in the world.

Maybe. Yet public relations is a huge part of the HC job. Falling down on that responsibility will get you fired. No coach should skip/miss a post-game presser for any reason.
