However I will say that the refs were terrible and made too many questionable calls. They might want to check the drinking water down in Louisiana.

But I got a lot of respect to ULM! They got a good team.

LR 73 ULM 72

NBA 3 pointer? That shot was, at least, 10 feet beyond the NBA 3 point line.

Well that's a new one. I get the whole they won the league last year, so people gun for the champs thing, but acting like we're all so excited to play in the Cajun Dome in front of a 30-40 percent capacity crowd because its so nice looking is a step to far.

Typical Marlin. I think he was trying to find a way to rationalize out how you lost to a really bad basketball team at home, when you simply could have just pointed out that Marquis Eaton had one of his rate "great shooting" nights, that he's unlikely to be able to repeat and ended it there.

Guy is a pompous ass many hope he is on the chopping block soon

He blocked me on Twitter lol.

He blocked a ton of GSU fans several years ago.

He had one of our students kicked out last season. Will wasn’t being vulgar but did get under his skin with the “finding Nemo bit” . The big fish is quite full of himself.

He’s gonna hear worse than that when he comes to ULM for a game, we’re right next to their bench too

There are still lots of Cross fans in Arlington, and the better he does at Troy, the more our current regime will come under critical scrutiny. Our game versus GSt was yet another pathetic display. We're at 4-8, and at this rate, I seriously doubt we will win 10 this year, much less compete for a championship.

GSU students / fans usually start a "Bob you suck" chant at some point in the game every year. Last year CRH got on the PA mic and told the crowd to stop, we are better than that. Guessing it may make a return this year.

Glad to see it isn't just the GSU faithful that think he's pretty much the worst.

Does not surprise me. Though I will say I’m still shocked at the way y’all let him (Cross) go. I think he’ll do well at Troy. Probably coaching with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
Stuff to prove and all that, no doubt Troy will “rise to the occasion” when playing y’all.

As to your not winning 10 this year, I doubt that. Y’all still have a good program, and your Coach while new, is still probably in the process of “making your current squad” his own.

It’s still early, a lot of basketball left to play, I certainly wouldn’t count y’all out yet.

Got out to huge leads in the first couple minutes in both games.

Promptly blew both before halftime.

Got back out to about a 10 point lead early in the 2nd half in both games.

Promptly went on to lose both.

Really rough road trip. Were in position to win both and lost both. I still think we'll be OK in conference play, but 0-2 start not ideal obviously. At least the Georgia road trip is done before Christmas. That's always one of the toughest road trips of the year.

RE: Week 7 Sun Belt basketball (Mon Dec 16 thru Sun Dec 22)
Little Rock wins at ULL by 3, after being down by 14 in the second half. We had our leading scorer (Marquis Nowell- also the league's leading scorer), and the 2 guys who finished with 21 and 19 tonight, with 4 fouls the last 6 or 7 minutes of the game. Marquis sat out much of the second half and only finished with 7 points. Part of that was fouls, but ULL defended him really well throughout the game.

We are missing 3 players, who were considered starters at the beginning of the season. 2 are injured and one is serving an NCAA suspension until January 9th. We will be much better when these guys return, but have certainly built some quality depth with them out of action.

I had no idea what to expect from this team at the start of the season, but after 2 road wins while playing short-handed, I feel confident that we won't finish last again like most predicted. Will we compete for the league championship?- I'm not ready to say that, but 2-0 on the road, is a really good start.

That's not a big deal down here this season.
