He has the most to gain with the departures of Jackson and Latu. Right now, we have a very good trio returning in Williams, Drummond, and Beydoun. If Grissom continues to develop as a receiver, we will have an even more dangerous group. Possibly (if not probably) the best in the MAC. Whoever our new QB1 is will have plenty of weapons already, but if Grissom turns into a legit receiver, look out.

But with each recruiting class the number of JUCOs overall appear to be declining. This is the first year I believe we have not seen JUCO WRs, not to disagree with Nickle but I don't think we'll see that. Honestly I agree with those who say another JUCO LB and JUCO DE and I think we're set.

I was encouraged by Ryland's kickoffs and kicking at the bowl game, if he locks being consistent some close loses will become wins. Julien is the most underrated guy on this team a player who gets better each year.

We got plenty of hungry backs who want the ball. We got plenty at the QB spot who want to be the guy. Ditto DB guys like McGee, Vines Bogan and Hernandez and Hubbard. Myrick and a host of D line guys. If our O line performs like they did at the bowl game we'll be ready.

Bring on 2020 I'm ready.

Yes, Grissom needs to switch to WR. Love his ability as an athlete. I wish we ran more screens. He would be a PERFECT weapon in 3-4 screens a game. I don't think we ran 1 this year. Hoping they switch him soon to get the ball in his hands.

Sorry guys, I am not seeing how Freshman WR's need to get any run next year. Quiann, Beydoun, Dylan, Cannon and hopefully Grissom makes for a GREAT receiver group. We are losing Arthur, Sexton and Latu but the group coming back I think is better collectively.

You're right, that's a good group. But they need 5 or 6 to play regularly (like this year). And what if there's and injury? All we're saying is that at least 2 new receivers need to get some PT.

Not sure if I missed it but Machado the LH QB is no longer on the roster.

Speaking of needing one or two young WRs to step up, anyone know anything about De'Anthony Ball? Was a three-star recruit from Georgia, should have been a true-freshmen on this years team but I'm not seeing him on the roster.

Oh, bummer. Hopefully he fines a good spot to land, but also that it means he left some of the other younger guys were ahead of him and he didn't think he'd get on the field.

It appears so. He was listed as a redshirt sophomore most recently on Southern Utah’s website. Maybe he only played one year at JUCO.

1). Chris played one season at JUCO,

2). He played 4 games in 2018 at So Utah.

3). He played the full season in 2019 at So. Utah.

This, at first look, appears easy: he played 2 and redhsirted one and has two left.

However, did he redshirt in 2016 at his JUCO? if so he has been out of school 4 years and has one year to complete his FB eligiblity.

So when did his 5-year window clock begin? 2016 or '17???? The So Utah website is not clear on it.

EDIT: Here is the 2016 Buter roster and it does not list him as a football player. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a student but not on the team.

If he leaves put it 10000 percent on Creighton! The best athlete on the team by a mile, and barely ever gets any touches! If we run 60 to 65 offensive snaps, many times he gets the ball twice a game! Hopefully, that's not the case, but as I've stated many times Creighton doesn't play his best players on many occasions, and loyalty won't win games, simply talent does! He has NFL size, and ability!

I noticed they updated the roster on the website (basically just taking the seniors off and listing the underclassmen as a year old). He is still on there FWIW.

Would hate to lose him, I think he could be best "weapon" in the MAC next year if they use him correctly. They could use him in so many ways throughout a game, he'd be a match-up nightmare for coaches.
