Frisco Bowl - KSU vs. USU
I think it's officially time we retire the buy game argument. We made a bowl game even with those 3 buy games. We were 1 win away from a MAC Championship game appearance. It can be done.
Now, on to Dallas and the Frisco bowl. I am not the research kind of guy, so someone who loves doing it, let me know the skinny. Without knowing anything about our opponent, I will say KSU wins 27-24. Trickett wins it as the clock expires.

One drawback to this bowl is that it is only 12 days away and finals week starts tomorrow. That will limit practice to some degree, I imagine.
USU has the same finals week as KSU. So no advantage there. This is better than having finals week during the week of December 16 which is the case with schools like Penn State.

The location, it’s accessibility, and date of this bowl game is really pretty great for the teams and fans. A well deserved reward for these guys!

I know zero about Utah State. Looking at their stats though they appear to be a good match-up for us. They give up just under 200 yds rushing per game. They don’t appear to put a ton of pressure on opposing QBs. They have solid kick and kick return teams. In a lot of ways they look like the MWC version of Kent State.
The most notable difference I see is at QB. Their QB can air it out but has a 1:1 TD-Int ratio. He’s a pure passer with just 159 rushing yards for the season. Crum’s accuracy and legs give us an advantage which could prove to be the difference in the game.
I expect an entertaining, high-scoring game. We’ll come out on top in a back-and-forth game 37-34.

RE: Frisco Bowl - KSU vs. USU
Doing a little homework on our opponent, we are rightfully underdogs (8/8.5), but I think we can win this. We've been underdogs in every game but Kennesaw St, BG, and Akron. USU plays in what was a tougher conference this season, and was 7-5. They did take their beating from LSU, but also lost to Wake Forest and got pounded by BYU, who lost to 6-6 Toledo. Their FCS opponent, Stony Brook, was about as weak as they come compared to a very strong Kennesaw St., who went 11-3 and just got knocked out of the FCS playoffs in the 2nd round. Obviously, we played a much tougher OOC schedule. And we have momentum. USU is about on par with the best teams in a down year in the MAC this season whom we know we are capable of beating. So let's win a bowl game, OK?

Utah State has a very experienced head coach and a great QB. It will be interesting to see what the defensive staff cooks up to stop him. I’m intrigued to see if Bangda, Williams, & Matthews are healthy headed into this game, as that will be huge if they rotate the 3 RBs and wear down Utah State. I hope that Carrigan and McCoy are 100% focused and ready to go, as they are a heck of deep duo and will be crucial taking the top off of the Utah State defense (both missed 2 games each for conduct detrimental to the team). Hopefully Bahr, Knight, Hill, & Majette are all healthy and ready to go, as they have all missed games this season due to injury and all are starters/seniors.
Looking forward to the game!

I believe Jamal Parker was ejected for targeting from the EMU game. Does he have to miss any part of the bowl game as a result?

Their QB declared for the draft, but unlike our former RB Shaw, he’s going to play in the game.
“Utah State quarterback Jordan Love will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the draft. In a lengthy message on Twitter, Love announced that he’ll be heading to the NFL next season, although he still intends to play in the upcoming Frisco Bowl vs. Kent State.”

Here is what is currently offered from our bookstore online

IMO, this sucks. The Frisco Bowl site has a pennant button, and patch for us. US has a hoodie, and a couple shirts. I hope we can get more merchandise for fans.

Wow, yeah! The first time I looked there was nothing. Yesterday evening I looked and there were the buttons and patches etc. They have added a nice array of apparel now. I'm still going to wait for the Champions shirt after the game.
For example, these from last year are pretty nice:

I feel like we're heading head strong into jinxing this whole thing. Buy it all man! We don't get many of these. And looking at how NHCC (North Hill Community College) & BG have gone this won't last forever
