Wisconsin lost to Illinois who lost to Eastern Michigan. That should have been a consideration for Wisconsin not being allowed in the Big 10 ccg.

South Carolina wasn't that good, but they did that 4-8 against the #1 schedule in the nation according to Sagarin.
Auburn had the #2 schedule, W. Virginia #3, Texas #4 and TCU #5. Rest of top 10-Kansas, Miss. St., Iowa St., Stanford, LSU.

My guess is that the voter consensus is that Wisconsin shouldn't be penalized versus Penn State for playing Ohio State twice instead of once.

I'm slightly surprised at the apparent consensus for Alabama's relative ranking, but brand name always carries weight with voters.
