And I'm sorta surprised there hasn't been more talk on this thread of Napier getting CoTY over Drinkwitz. I know there was discussion of that on this board before the awards were handed out.
COY award may be the most subjective and often doesn't go to the coach who had the best year. Sometimes its a multi-year award, actual versus expectations, it would be splitting hairs.
I'm more surprised at Evans at OPOY than Napier as COY. Evans is a great player, I'd love to see the votes for each award.

The COTY has shown to definitely be cumulative. That's why Satterfield won last year and Napier this year. Also why Lunsford didn't get it last year when he definitely should have been top 2

Carlton Martial would be DPOTY. These awards are heavily influenced by how good their supporting cast is.
Carlton Martial, LB
126 Tackles
18.5 tackles for loss
4 Sacks
3 INTs, 1 TD
Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB
85 Tackles
13.5 Tackles For Loss
4.5 Sacks
1 INT

Interesting to note that while Troy's page has 126 tackles, the NCAA stats page has 114. Something isn't right there.
Nah, not really. They have the same numbers but the NCAA tech guy must have their algorithm wrong because, somewhere, they left out a 12 game TT in the overall tackle count.
That needs fixing because it lowers his NCAA ranking.

QB pressures matter as well. He and freshman Nick Hampton blew up the right side of USC's line all game long. I'm sure there have been other games where he has made a huge impact that I haven't noticed.

RE: Sun Belt Postseason Awards
The two WRs from stAte made RIDICULOUS catch after silly catch against us. They were far and away the best we faced. Sutton was pretty good, but those two were monsters.
Glad they got their due. I hope Kennedy gets enough touches next year to be up this list.

Is he not graduating yet? Noticed one of your more impressive signees from last year who had offers from Alabama and UGA prior to an ACL tear is planning on transferring out.
