Bout to be some angry Cajuns in here that their 3 headed monster at RB took home second and third place only.

Also BS that Corey Sutton is second team. He is the most talented player in the conference (MAYBE second to only bayless)

Corey is certainly worthy of first team. However he didn't play a full season and was suspended early on. The cause of that suspension and subsequent loss of time is on him. Should add fuel to his fire, as if he needed it, for 2020.

Of note, App State's Cooper Hodges is the only freshman on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd teams.

no one should be. these list are stats based. splitting carries between 3 or 4 backs and still getting a 2nd team and two 3rd teams selections seems correct. 04-cheers

Are they really stats based though? Based on impact, Louisiana's running backs clearly are at least 2nd and 3rd teamers.

App has now had a first team All-Conference running back three years running. 2016 and 2017 it was Jalin Moore, 2018 and 2019 it was Evans.

I would say they are mostly/heavily stats based.

He's right though. Remember Larry Rose getting POTY in 2014 over Matt Breida? If Breida had the same number of carries as him his stats would've been nuts.

Heck Wes Kennedy has about the same number of yards as Ragas and he missed 4 games.

Ragas has a span of 4 games where he only got 14 carries.

Bayless as player of the year was obvious. The rest were much tougher calls

RE: Sun Belt Postseason Awards
As far as the superlative awards were concerned, I was surprised by nothing.

And, when you have only six running backs on the three teams and you get three guys on there, no one in Louisiana is unhappy.

If we coach differently, Elijah Mitchell would have led the league in rushing.

I've not been as impressed with Evans as I have some of the other backs in the conference, but congrats to him.

Well, our defense made all the top backs in the league look pedestrian this season (other than UL's for some reason).

Sun Belt Postseason Awards
Rob Hunt is so good, he made 1st team on the OL despite not playing in the last month and a half. That's respect.

And I'm sorta surprised there hasn't been more talk on this thread of Napier getting CoTY over Drinkwitz. I know there was discussion of that on this board before the awards were handed out.
