NOT ME.
I didn't even see the BLOCK IN THE BACK on the opening kickoff. Please go to our board to see the screen shot of it as the refs were apparently checking out the cheerleaders at that moment (because it happened right next to the ball carrier).
Then, in a three point game and right when we stop Elvis U on 3rd down to get the ball back to go down the field to win... that's right... PENALTY.
Now keep in mind this crap had been going on the entire game between BOTH sides, but that's the ONLY ONE they call. They made fun of Perry Young on Gameday yesterday for flopping after a Memphis thug whipped around and gave him a nice little roundhouse to the head. Now did THAT get called? NO. Same thing. They don't call it on them. They do call it on us... at the most pivotal point of the game, I might add. This gives the Tiggers more chances to get their last TD that they NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN.
So all I heard last week was how the mighty Memphisians were going to beat us by more than they could count on their fingers and toes. Didn't happen.

haha, yeah, it definitely had nothing to do with Three turnovers (would have been four if we hadn't of touched a ball out of bounds). ...100% won b/c of the refs. .....

RE: **Rank the AAC - week 14**
Memphis - Had the advantage of home field against it's toughest opponents UC, SMU and Navy, and managed wins in all those games. Not so dominant on the road, Temple and Tulsa.
SMU - Played Memphis the closest, lost by 6, UC lost by 10, Navy lost by 12 although early. Lack a good pass defense.
Navy - Had the easiest schedule with USF, ECU and Uconn in the East, but beat SMU on Senior Day and at home. Horrible day at Notre Dame.
Cincinnati - Beat UCF and the rest of the East, enough said.
UCF - That loss at Tulsa still haunts.
The rest.
Great season all around for the AAC. Thanks to the players and the coaches and fans. Now on to bigger and better things in the future. Love this Conference.

Agreed. I would only add that Houston’s and ECU’s place on this list were interchangeable during much of the second half of the season.

I stopped reading at "block in the back". The kicker engaged our blockers face to face, and THEN turned around while being blocked. That's not a penalty...

RE: **Rank the AAC - week 14**
1. Memphis (clear top dog)
2. Cincinnati (by way of only losing to the top dog)
3. Navy (could argue Navy for #2, but giving Cincinnati the nod because they would have given ND a better game IMO)
4. SMU (two close losses against Memphis and Navy)
5. UCF (one more loss than SMU, one less than Temple with the head-to-head victory)
6. Temple (last team on the list who I think could beat anybody in the league on the right day)
7. Tulane (insanely tough schedule. did not capitalize on any of their big opportunities)
8. Houston (wins the battles of 4-8 teams by way of head-to-head win over Tulsa)
9. Tulsa (could argue them for 8th due to being most competitive 4-8 team and the UCF win)
10. USF (not nearly as competitive as Houston and Tulsa, plus weaker division)
11. East Carolina (last of the 4-8 teams due to 1-7 conference record)
12. UConn (good luck as an indy)

Most people were mistaken in the importance factor of Friday's game. Pure and simple the main reason was to determine which team the refs will favor in the championship game to determine who goes to the Cotton Bowl and the big payout for the conference.

It’s also pretty funny the poster thinks “Memphis State “ is an insult. Actually we embrace it with retro Memphis State memorabilia and gear and the teams sometimes wearing Memphis State retro uniforms and MSU logos MEMPHIS was a major D1 program even when called Memphis State.

Rematches always favor the underdog. Watch Rocky II and see what happens. In the meantime, keep enjoying your wacky tobaccy and posting your rebel yells all week.
1. UC
2. Memphis State
3. WHO CARES...
Predictable and unoriginal.
Yet so many of you felt compelled to spit out your chaw and respond.
And no geniuses, I wasn't saying that refs swayed the game 100%.
...Only the pivotal times.

That said, most of you seem to be enthralled by Memphis State's ref aided game on Friday.
NOT ME.
I didn't even see the BLOCK IN THE BACK on the opening kickoff. Please go to our board to see the screen shot of it as the refs were apparently checking out the cheerleaders at that moment (because it happened right next to the ball carrier).

I must say, it is refreshing that there is a discussion of a Memphis game and the OTHER team's fanbase is complaining about the refs.
Obviously it didn't rain...
