For your 1st point, what point are you trying to make about contracts? Do you know how they work? Or do you honestly believe they are unbreakable? If so, it’s amazing how coaches and pro athletes manage to get out of them constantly. Must be magic.
For point 2 you’ve made above, please share your proof. I’ve seen nothing regarding the payout changing, where are you getting that information?
Lastly, I find your unwavering support of the commissioner wildly bizarre. Any critique levied at him and you’re alway the first to defend him. What has he done that’s made you such a staunch defender of his work?

1. Yes I know how contracts work and I also know that money talks and deals can be made. I’m not saying to screw Arizona, but given that the contract expires after this year, deals that benefit both parties can be discussed.
2. Do you know it to be less? Either way, it would be more than Arizona.
3. No hatred to Gill. Just concern that he doesn’t come across as wanting what is best for the members. Sure, I get his we have contract speak, but he could have spoken to the scenario of respect to contracts and relationships with bowls, but he also needs to come across has being open to contingencies that are in the best interest of his members.
They're not contractually obligated to give another team the same amount. Highly likely it would be much, much less.

As for point 2. Yes.
That's because you have no idea how bowl payouts work. The Conference doesn't get 4.5 million. get that out of your heads now. The conference gets zilch. That 4.5 million is based off of how many tickets they'll offer, the price of said tickets, and the prizes available to the teams.
The SEC and ACC wouldn't split 4.5 million with that game. They might get a few hundred K. App would break even going to charlotte, and then give the rest of it up to the Sun Belt to finance Georgia State's trip to Arizona.

Were you around four years ago? Do you remember when SBC champ stAte was going to whip us? I know it will happen one day, but we've never lost a football game to a Sun Belt member. At least we haven't while they were in the Sun Belt Conference at least.
I do think a Tech vs ULL matchup would be a close game that could go either way.

The announcers just stressed that App St still has a (good) shot at the Cotton Bowl. How is this even possible?? Maybe if Memphis beats Cinci and at the same time Cinci beats Memphis... App St probably needs to absolutely destroy Louisiana and Cinci somehow to beat Memphis...provided Boise St loses to Hawaii.

They've got to hype the game.

2012 would have been a good year for that streak to end, in Shreveport. But I digress

If App can hold LA LA to 14 and continue this pace to 70......they would be worth the conversation.

That's assuming that the Sun Belt gives up Cure, Montgomery, Mobile, or NOLA.

Thanks for tuning into another App State Championship. An annual tradition.

Lots of GaSo people so interested in App’s destination. It will kill them when or if we get into the Belk Bowl. They can’t take it. We are living rent free!
Comments like they have to hype the game ... we can pencil them into NO.
Haha it’s getting nuts!

My man, ya'll keep bringing US up.
I'm the one trying to figure out how much furniture I get to move in cause I sure ain't paying rent.
As for the comment about having to hype the game (cause that one was in fact mine), it was in reference to the Cotton Bowl....and it was in fact accurate. ESPN can't have a CFP ranked team playing in a game that is meaningless for the national picture, so yes, it was hype. It's good for ya'll that the conversation is continuing, but it was just hype. They ain't gonna come out there and say "App has no chance to make the Cotton Bowl" while that's on the mothership. C'mon....we're all smarter than that.

I have no issues with App in the Belk Bowl. Not really sure why that's supposed to be upsetting to us?
If you made the Cotton Bowl? Yeah I'd be pretty salty.
But if it wouldn't screw up our bowl destination, I'd definitely be pulling for you to make the Belk Bowl and play an actually good P5 team.

Here you go App fans, there’s the closest Belk to the New Orleans Bowl. Maybe y’all can stop by and pretend that y’all actually went to the Belk Bowl
