He faux pas badly on the Georgia State/Southern thing.

He has been willing to do few media interviews, yet WE HAVE A STORY TO TELL.

When he has been interviewed he spends time telling everyone he's not just a basketball guy.

When the "dance" happened in Statesboro and three players got ejected because of officials over-reaction, his office said they would have no comment.

Evidently the officiating was really bad in Jonesboro today, but I bet he's quiet about it, too.

It's early, but he's done NOTHING to promote this league since he took over...and this year our league has PLENTY to promote.

Folks laughed about AAC referring themselves as P6 and UCF hanging NC banners but what it did was force the media to actually pay attention. The MWC should've done the same when Boise was kicking azz 10 years ago.

This is coming from the voice of the Cajuns ladies and gents. And Jay has typically been pretty reserved when going at conference commissioners and folks in the UL administration for their faux pas's, so you know he has to be pretty fed up to post that.

Crickets from the SBC office. Get on a damn tv or radio show and talk about one of the best if not the best years the conference is in the midst of.

Funny thing is that everyone is referring to him as "our commissioner". Only one post mentioned his name and it was just his last name. I'd imagine most of us would have to do a google search to see what his name is. He can't even market his own self.

Oh so you're privy to all the behind the scenes stuff at the conference office? The conference is still putting together the bowl line up for 2020. Still working on a mid-season conference/conference basketball challenge. There's a lot to do other than to grab a mic and ***** and moan that a team isn't getting the respect we think they deserve. I don't see the B12 commissioner gripe that Iowa State also dropped a spot after winning last week too. Why don't you write to the conference staff rather than whine on a message board.

Pretty sure you're alone in your satisfaction with commissioner Gill. Even among fanbases.

Why aren't you whining that ADDG isn't doing a media blitz? AD Doug hasn't peeped a word about it.


Whining publicly screams little man syndrome. That's why the B12 commissioner or Iowa State AD aren't bemoaning their drop in rankings after a win as well.
