Boy, it sure seems like CMU is getting better each week. Team has been a mess and the bring in an experience HC and the program gets turned around in less than a season. Sure hope our next HC fills this mold... It worked work OU and looks to be working for CMU. I’m done with the “stepping stone” coach.

Never good when you give up over 400 yards in a half like NIU just did.

Buffalo is looking real solid on both sides of the fb.

This is the worst talent level season in MAC history. A very poor season for the MAC. No great players or teams. I’m concerned it’s a trend and not just a singular event.

Coaching is everything and our staff has not exactly been solid. Bad preparation and play calling has been the rule this season. QB play is key and Toledo has struggled here as well. UT faces strong tests down the stretch to finish better than 7-5 or 6-6

Last week against UB we coughed the ball up so many times in our own territory. I doubt a rematch would look the same.

However, they whooped us and deserve all the credit. The MAC is week to week. This year the MAC is horrendous.

Based on how we have played. We are going to be lucky to win 2 of our last four.

Sorry to say, I see loses at UB and CMU. 7-5 for the season. Bowl eligible yet. Win the bowl game and be 8-5.

I predict we finish 5-7. I also predict Mike O’Brien follows that up by giving Candle a raise and contract extension.

In all seriousness, though...I’m hoping we can win at least one of those 2 home games left, because I don’t see us beating Buffalo or CMU on the road. We just don’t have that toughness. Forget the losses to BG & Ball State, we let WMU back into the game in the second half after building a 21 point lead, and let EMU back in the game in just the 4th quarter after building a big lead. Toughness just isn’t there, and that one factor is gonna decide who wins the MAC in a season like this one.

I feel like we should be able to be competitive in the Kent and Northern games, but I wouldn't assume either one to be W's, especially Northern. NIU tends to be able to battle back from behind, if they have to, and find a way to win. That, in contrast to us, who seem to be able to put the ball on the ground at the worst possible time (and for that I don't give all the players a pass). As far as Buffalo and Central....sadly I am doubtful.

NIU got absolutely man handled yesterday so I’m guessing they’ll come in hungry against Toledo.
