Its pretty ho-hum considering the belt's "meh" bowl lineup

Only disappointing thing today was the crowd, yes, it was raining, but the team was a top 25 for only the second time and it was homecoming, on tv it didn’t look good, maybe 18,000.

27k tickets sold. Crowd was good for the conditions.

Always laugh when fans complain about how a crowd looked on tv, think about it...

It is what it is, I don’t give a crap about how many tickets we sell eye test doesn’t lie, the crowd, for such a monumental moment didn’t happen, we keep talking about taking it to the next level, it’s not just on the field, but just as important it has to be with fan support.

For some reason i don't mind there were $360000 more dollars in ticket revenue than your hurt feelings espn plus eye test. #firebanks

Thought the crowd was pretty good all things considering at Kickoff. Student Section and hill was full at the start of the game. Most of home stands was full minus a few patches here and there, couldn't see upper deck but lower east side was full too ... now if you are talking about 2nd half, after the homecoming festivities, game in hand, and rain picking up, then I see what you're talking about lack of fans. Hard to see the crowd on tv when you’re at the game...

Next level means the following:

- joining the Yosef Club
- recruiting others to join and donate
- buy season tickets
- attend the games

There’s a reason tickets sold is tracked and not some “eye test” on espn+.

It was raining all game and temps in the lows 50s with the wind blowing. The crowd was solid considering and the student section was ready 30 minutes before the game. Kudos to them and the fans that attended.

Why leave it at that, let’s discuss taking it to the next level and what that really means from our fanbase.

Exactly, Saint. It takes everyone giving what they can, showing up, and inviting others to get involved.

B

We sit in the East Stands and I can promise you the West, not home, Stands were nowhere close to being full. On top of that a lot of those folks were leaving by midway through the 2nd quarter. App has about 15,000 hard core football fans. The rest show up for tailgating and the social scene. When it gets a little cool or rainy they chunk and run. Homecoming crowds are the worst. Many don't even show up until half way through the 1st qtr. Our folks need to learn what it takes to be a big time fan base. I'm always amazed by people who went to school at App complain that's it's too cold or rainy to stay for the entire game. You lived there for 4-5 years and didn't learn to dress warmly or to buy a rain suit or poncho? (Shaking head....) The ones I will excuse are the those who sit on that blasted hill. If there were actual seats in that endzone people would be better inclined to stick around for the entire game. AD Doug Gillin has been against building more seats until season ticket sales increase. While I want to continue pushing for that, due to the nature of the climate in Boone many decide on Thursday if they're coming or not and sitting on a wet piece of grass isn't very motivational. I was surprised and thrilled he revealed this past week there is a plan to enclose the South End Zone with seating! I don't know what to think. All of my dreams are about to come true. The move to FBS, ranked int the Top 25 for more multiple weeks, removal of the track and now seats in the South Endzone! If I'm having a dream, don't wake me!

In all fairness to Moehler, whom I've had my disagreements with, I'm pretty sure he lives in Florida.

I don't think becoming "bowl eligible" is anything to celebrate. It's six wins.

Starting around the 10 min mark Gillin talks about NEZ, new turf and seating in the bank.
