I wouldn't be so sure. The committee is there to make sure wins over UNC and South Carolina even when they aren't all that good are better than wins over UCF and Cincinnati.

App State might be better than Boise this year. They get no tv views so that probably is their biggest knock.

Agree, and I also think App St gets a better benefit of the doubt because of their FCS success and the Michigan win. The perception of App State as a program is a lot better than say Arkansas St or ULL, if they were in the same boat.

In 2016, the committee decidedly did NOT value wins against Northwestern (essentially where UNC and the 'Cocks are now) and Illinois more than wins against Houston, Tulsa, and Memphis. And that was a TWO loss Navy being compared to WMU.

There's been a long standing bias against schools like Cincinnati, Memphis, Houston... the so called "City Schools" that were once part of the Metro. Schools like Appy State and Boise State are always given the benefit as the "underdog" while the former group are not given such a gift. The problem is these schools are in large metro areas and have huge enrollments, and as such are too big too be considered "the little guy" but at the same time are not lumped in with the Land Grant P5 schools that have all the power.

The only one who has escaped from this group is Louisville, and a lot of that had to do with several shifts within the conference landscape at one time.

LOVE seeing just how weak BSU's AD is...as it seems he is more concerned about a future position at a nearby Pac-12 school in the near future vs doing whats best for BSU.

This just shows how light years ahead UCF's AD Danny White is compared to some of his peers and why UCF pays Danny White a Top 20 AD Salary.

While I don't always believe Aresco's P6 campain, I am glad he is pushing the narrative as it helps push the conference forward and sets expectations.

Since AD's try to "move on" to bigger programs and paychecks...his comments were mostly self-serving to him personally....as he wants to be known to future P5 programs that he is a "good boy" and will do what they tell him to do.

This was basically a free advertisement to P5 programs that might need a AD (probably Pac-12...as this due went to school in California and then worked for 8 years at 2 California schools before coming to Boise St) in the coming years.
