I’ve never seen anyone tailgate outside of the grove, but I also haven’t seen any rules against it either. I feel like doing it in the paid lots might be frowned upon since they want to fill every spot and make their money, but I could be totally off base on that.

I’m sure they will have visitor tailgate area, just not sure where it is. Should release map. Usually do every home game.

But I'll say this. If we lose, I'm never going to another away game again. The wife and I tried @ Tulane last year, and got manhandled ourselves.

Southern was tailgating in the track parking lot a while back so you can probably do that as well. Like most places in Louisiana Monroe is pretty lax with alcohol as a whole so it doesn't matter too much. For breakfast I second the Latin foods recommendation. Lunch waterfront grill if you want a bit more expensive. Trapps and fieldhouse are more typical places but still decent. Fieldhouse is probably about a mile from the stadium or so if you wanted a more indoor place to drink pregame

I checked your extended forecast... High of 91. Might not be a bad idea... 07-coffee3

Doubt it, but they are going to have hydration stations through the stadium I read today. And of course will sell bottled water.

I would definitely attempt putting a few in your bag. I assume they're not gonna be checking too strictly. Clear bag policy obviously maybe try the old putting a few inside a shirt trick or something. It was basically BYOB for a while so I doubt we got too far away from that haven't gone to a game in a year since I moved however

Could you please explain what you mean by that? Also, where is parking allowed for the game/does it cost anything?

The Free parking for ULM is about the same distance you'd walk for a Memphis game if you decided to park in Cooper/Young and walk to the stadium.

It's not far unless you are not used to long walks to football games.

One dude described it as "about 1 mile"... 03-lmfao I'll pay the $10.
Is tailgating allowed in the $10 parking is my next question. Can you whip out a 10x10 tent and a charcoal grill and fire that bad boy up? And if so, are there "coal disposal services" or do you have to put all your used ashes back in your SUV like the AllState commercial? BOOM....

You can safely store your coals inside your vehicle in Monroe because of the humidity from the bayou next to the tailgate area.

The furthest you may have to walk would be about 3/4 of a mile and that would be from the very edge of the parking lot the furthest away from Malone Stadium. Not sure about grilling in the $10 parking area behind the stadium but you can definitely put up a table and eat. Plenty of space between rows.

Where is this free parking close to the stadium? I was the one who said it was 1+ miles, because it’s pretty close to that getting from the other side of the bayou all the way around the stadium to the visitors’ section.

LBS has a one bottle policy and South Alabama allowed 2 bottles. was hoping for similar consideration. thanks for the word.

That’s a huge improvement. Last time I went to the liberty bowl we were not allowed to bring in water for a toddler. Of course that was about 15 years ago

All parking on the other side of the bayou is free. Even if you park in the lots that are in the neighborhood on the other side of Filhiol Ave, it isn't a mile to the stadium. Parking on the side of the bayou with Malone and Fant Ewing is either reserved (Lot A, B, C) or pay.
