I am not sure what the biggest 4th quarter comeback has been. In 2010, Colorado led Kansas 45-17 early in the 4th quarter and ended up losing 52-45 in regulation.

Maryland hadn't scored at all vs Miami in 1984. Miami was at the time of the game 8-2 and #6 in the country. Far better team than Washington State.
I am a Maryland fan and watched that game. Greatest comeback at that time, but last night's was clearly better. More points in less time.
Miami finished 8-5 that year, easily the worst Miami team of their dynasty years. We'll see where WST finishes up.

Maryland fan? How many teams are you fans of?
I grew up in Maryland, about 10 miles from the College Park campus, and my dad took me to many Maryland football games growing up, and I have a ton of old friends from growing up who stayed in the area and went to Maryland (at 18 I left for Tampa and USF).
So while USF is my football team, I root for Maryland against anyone else, old ties, kind of like my hoops tie to Georgetown, which exists for the same reason.

The defensive effort of both teams was so horrible all night long that it was difficult to watch and stay engaged — at least for me it was. I understand that nobody’s going to admit that out loud, but everyone knows I’m telling the truth.

That's why I vote for Cincinnati-Pittsburgh 2009. The comeback was by fewer points, but both teams played good defense. And it was a much more important game. Winner won the Big East title & a trip to the Sugar Bowl.
Pitt scores with 1:26 left in the second quarter to go up 31-10. The game was pretty much over. Then UC's Mardy Gilyard does this:
second half was back-and-forth. But UC clawed back inch by inch & tied the game at 38 with 5:46 to go in the 4th. Pitt ran the ball down UC's throat for a 9-play TD drive, but missed the extra point. So Pitt's up by 6 with 1:36 left.
Cincinnati got a good kickoff return to the 39, then completed 3 quick passes for 32 yards. Then Pike-to-Binns scored a TD with 33 seconds left for their first lead of the game:
Final score: 45-44.
Because 2019 is the 10 year anniversary of that game, all 2019 UC season ticketholders are receiving a double-bobblehead of that pass that won the game & the Big East title:
Memphis at Arkansas State in 2007 just missed the Maryland-Miami standard.
Memphis led 31-6 at the half. Score still there inside of 8 minutes left in the third. Memphis punts and it is short but penalty on AState. Take the penalty still fourth down, Memphis punter wails it and Kevin Jones takes 89 yards to the house. AState scores 29 in 23:15
