Should be down across the board this year. More televised games and options will continue to impact attendance for all college football and all sports.

Technically it was a neutral field for ULL but the Cajuns imported their end zone graphics to the Superdome. That would kinda make it home field.

RE: Week 1 Attendance
Attendance is a little dissapointing for AppState in that we were honoring Jerry Moore and welcoming a new coaching era all with weather that could not have been better.
With Coastal opening their stadium expansion, I would have expected a record crowd.

I think the construction issues and all the dire warnings that were issued leading up to the game may have impacted total attendance numbers a bit. It was a good crowd but there are some fans that seem to be a little faint of heart about the slightest bit of inconvenience. Aside of roasting in the east side bleachers for about five hours yesterday, I had no real problems getting in or out and it wad a beautiful day!

There was only 22K in the Superdome for ULL and Miss State? That's not good.

Agreed. Especially with how theyve filled the bowl for lesser opponents at the NOLA bowl. Miss State clearly doesnt have much drawing power either.

I don't know if he's as much taking attendance smack as he is flummoxed. Holiday weekend sec school in a world class drinking City that y'all have owned for games against much lesser opponents should be Cajun Christmas. Was expecting 40k for you guys. Was there a lot of pricing out of the market or was the 11 pm start or something a factor. Miss state is definitely a better draw then ECU
