From the games I watched part of and other than Western I watched more of the Middle game.

Middle (need to stick with the Qb who can make plays and also with his legs. Couple bad calls or the game would have been closer)
Tech (Smith looked as good as I've seen him)
Rice (no offense)
USM (if a team can score going to hard to win)
UNCC (still dont know where anything)
FAU (awful start but still played better than a couple teams that won)
UAB,ODU (both could have easily got beat. Cant point to one thing that was impressive)
FIU (very disappointing on both sides of the line)
Western (looked like peewee defensive backfield vs Jr High. Can only go up from here)

Yes MTSU played well. But do you honestly think Michigan opened up their entire playbook in that game? Chances are they laid back so as not to tip game plans to future conference opponents. Right now everyone in this conference is looking up at Georgia State... Think about that for a moment.

I didn't get to see every game, but of the games I did see, North Texas looked the best. SMU should be in trouble next week. That's my opinion.

No way to really rank. The opponent type is to broad.

FCS opponent:
If you lost, you're at the bottom.
If you won by <3 TDs, you're in the middle.
If you won by >3 TDs, you're at the top. (Once the game is in control, that's when you pull starters and let the 2s and 3s play.)

FBS opponent:
If a notoriously weak program (your Duke's, WF, Vandy, Purdue, etc), if you win, you're in the middle to top.
If a notoriously good program (OSU, Bama, etc), if you lose at all, you get a waiver and in the middle.
