But we have an attitude to constantly prove something because we resent the step-brother treatment from the flagship schools like UGA and Tech, despite being the biggest R1 research school in the state. Does that qualify?

Was clamouring for Georgia St before their monumental win over Tennessee. This reminds me a lot of UCF's win over Alabama in 2000. Sky is trhe limit for Georgia St.

Simple. CUSA didn't have want to elevate a couple of FCS schools to FBS, because they thought it would hurt their "image". On top of that, they added Charlotte back with their upstart FCS team, using the "markets" theory which has failed them miserably.

Meanwhile, the Sun Belt was proactive and gambled on Georgia State's upstart football, which has been more successful than Charlotte's. Also, they were both original members of the Sun Belt. But the key thing they did, which is why they are where they are, is adding the SoCon powers Georgia Southern and Appalachian State. It was ballsy, but it worked. Those two teams are the difference, and I was able to see both of them play while sharing a conference home with UTC. What's interesting to consider is, these were the two main powers in the league, but they honestly had to work harder to beat Wofford and Furman, than they do with some of the Sun Belt schools, to get the conference title.

I'm very bummed this morning we lost to Georgia State yesterday, after the jubilation of beating Ole Miss at the Liberty Bowl, my emotions were all over the place, to say the least. But Give the Panthers credit, they weren't out to be a victim of a pay to play game, and they deserved it with the way the Vols executed.

My only beef is that a BOISE STATE fan is here commenting. GTF outta here you goon!
