Their pitching staff was probably as rested as any in the field. This tournament sure produced runs in bunches, and Auburn showed it was remarkably resilient. They never quit, and when they got on a roll they never took their foot off the gas. Both teams can hold their heads high.

Getting to Omaha is always tough. Congrats, Tigers, but go ACC.

The Cards have been to the College World Series 4 times since 2007, and have posted a very unimpressive 2 and 8 record in that time.

Our side of the bracket this time around is against 3 SEC schools. Vandy, Auburn, and Mississippi State.

The good news? The Cards only wins have come against SEC schools ... Miss St in 2007, and Texas A&M in 2017.

Maybe we can keep that going til the championship round.

On paper and by the statistics Vanderbilt looks invincible. But they don't play that way. When they are hot they shut you down and blow you out. When they feel like taking a day off they look sluggish defensively and offensively. You never know which Vandy you're going to get. So anything is possible. It is what hurts them most in the CWS. There you have to show up every day.
