Haven't had the time this week to watch most SBC games like I normally do. Wouldn't be able to make a fair overall assessment. But I'd be interested to read it if others were able to keep up with SBC teams. I did catch the TXST/UTA replay just now. That was a tough break. It does seem like Texas State blew their shot at an at-large bid last weekend against Southern and then killed any chance at seeding higher than 14 after the UTA loss. Heartbreaking since TXST players were giving 100% effort into 2OT...you just gotta make the free throws in clutch and leave nothing to the chance.

Not a tough break at all. We put ourselves in a position to have a "special season," but failed to put away Southern and UTA (If we had taken care of our business, that game doesn't go to OT). We failed to hit our FTs, and shot poorly from the field. That's all on us. If you want to be a champion, you've got to play like one, the entire season, half won't cut it.

Last year, we totally folded down the stretch, losing our last 9. We'll see over the course of these next 9 what kind of character this team has.

We pushed very hard to get fans to finally show up for a game in an attempt to change the fan culture here at Texas State so we could finally start pulling our weight in the Belt... and then laid an egg in front of record home crowd. It was a devastating loss for us.

Congrats

We lost in front of our record basketball crowd and top three football crowds. At least we beat Texas in front of our record baseball crowd.

The TXST crowd was the highest home crowd of any school in the conference since we joined the Sun Belt in the 2013-2014 season.
