Dragging this back up. Coogs have some nice things going. HTownSpeedCity is forreal.
UH 4x400 had the #1 time in the world coming into today (3:03.31)...then beat it by almost two seconds today, with
the 4th best time in world history (3:01.52). Closing in on a world record by the National Championships?
UH's Obi Igbokwe ran the 2019 world-leading time of 45.35 in the 400m race today at Clemson. Teammate Kahmari Montgomery came in the 4th in the 400m today, which put him #4 in the nation, as the top 4 finishers were the 4 fastest 400m times in the US in 2019. (The a4mentioned sentence has the 4th most 4's I've ever written in my 44+ years of writing).
UH also has:
Mario Burke #5 & #9 times in 60m in NCAA's this year
Montgomery #4, Igbokwe #7 in 200m in NCAA's this year
Amere Lattin #8 in 60m hurdles in NCAA
Postseason begins in two weeks -- American Conference Championships are Feb 22-23 in Birmingham, Alabama. (Why, do you ask, would AAC hold their Championships in Birmingham?)
NCAA Indoor National Championships on March 8-9 in Birmingham, Alabama.
