If UCF had the starting QB they wouldn't have lost by more than that school in South Bend.

The starting QB isn't the one getting torched by a pedestrian offense. Milton is good but this UCF OL is absolute garbage. Any decent DL would be in his face all game long.

Milton is a good QB but he's not a miracle worker. He isn't going to make the DL & linebackers defend the run, the secondary cover wide recievers, or the Ol actually block.

ND beat Ball State by 8 points. 8 points! At home.

NIU beat them by that much on the road. And we were not good this year.

Clemson scraped by Syracuse at home while Notre Dame blew them out on the road so Notre Dame should have beat Clemson right?

Notre Dame played Ball State when Wimbush was their QB and their offense was totally different. It's one of the reasons why they made the switch to Book.

And as I type that Burrow takes advantage of Milton being out and completes a 42 yard pass to get the ball in the redzone. McKenzie Milton should have won the Heisman because there's never been a player so good they are responsible for piss poor secondary play as a QB.

If UCF had lost a game because they played the wrong QB nobody would give them credit for that.

I'm not even a UCF fan, I just call bias when I see it.

That's true. Would have been nice to see both teams at their best.

40-32

UCF not dead, gets amazingly lucky TD after LSU sack ends up as a 30 yard UCF gain in penalties. Instead of 3rs and 25 frome own 15, UCF gets first down at midfield.

Fantastic onside kick. Took a bad bounce for UCF

What?

It couldn’t have gone better for UCF they just missed their shot.

Except Notre Dame didn't lose.

There is absolutely nothing I have seen from this game, from the AAC championship game, or any other UCF game I have seen this season that leads me to believe UCF would have gave Clemson more of a game in the Cotton Bowl than Notre Dame.

Congrats to LSU on a solid season and congratulations to UCF on another great season even though they weren’t playoff contenders.

Enough with the 8 team playoff talk. Go back to the BCS before that.

Great season for an LSU team that was expected to finish 4th in the SEC West.

The UCF D played pretty well -- the UCF offense and Heupel's atrocious playcalling is what killed them. The thing is, UCF still had plenty of chances to win that game. There wasn't much talent difference between the 2-deep depth charts, but LSU just kept rolling out 4-star 5th-string DBs.

Congrats LSU, Burrow is player of the game. UCF is absolutely a playoff contender though. Huge difference between Mack and Milton, and dropping a couple of TD passes hurts.

UCF did a fine job, but LSU's line was just too big and fast overcome. Congrats to both teams

LSU had 15 more first downs, 300 more yards, and had the ball 45 minutes to 15 minutes.

Score should have been about 40 - 10, but UCF got three amazingly lucky TDs, including a 95 yard pick-6. Even that last TD drive was gifted to them by back to back 15 yard penalties.

Should have been a rout on the scoreboard, despite the enormous amount of talent LSU was missing the last 3 quarters of the game.

LSU had three big plays for TDs, UCF dropped a TD and Heupel's idiotic playcalling resulting in constant 43-second 3-and-outs kept the UCF D on the field time and time again.

By and large, UCF D was damn good today. Sure there were some personal fouls early, but the D showed up. The O did not.

And you keep saying LSU was depleted ... they're 5-deep everywhere! They proved it. UCF lost its starting S on a questionable targeting call and was without its starting QB yet still had chance after chance to win the game.

You USF fans remind me of Missouri fans ... you bask in your rival's losses because you're so insecure that your team sucks.

The statistics prove beyond a doubt UCF was a decent team, but no playoff team.

But, we knew that before LSU played them.

I admit I "hate" UCF as they are our rival.

But nevertheless my account of the game was factual - 15 more first downs, 300 more yards, and 30 more minutes of ball control.

The game was a rout save for good UCF fortune. And of course LSU is way deeper, what do you think all those top 10 recruiting classes add up to? Nevertheless, they were without far more NFL talent due to injury and skipping and targeting (LSU lost an actual All-American safety early on) than was UCF.
