Didn’t watch. Got the youngest down for bed and saw the halftime score. Not worth it at that point. Sounds like another rough one. CAA play better be out of this world. Looking like we’ll bring up the rear.

Well it wasn’t pretty but at least they showed some fight. That was going to be a tough game no matter how well we played. That team is picked to win the Sun Belt and has beaten two power 5 conference schools for a reason. Let’s see if we can steal a win at Mercer on Friday and generate some positive momentum going into conference. I’m being positive because I don’t think there’s any more negative things to say about this one that haven’t already been posted. A lot of games left and I’m not going anywhere.

I don't know if it will get any better in conference play, but Wainright only had two winning non conference seasons. Including two or three that started out 0-4 or 0-5.

Glad to hear it. Your passion for Seahawk basketball can't be questioned that's for certain.

Coming into the season, I had us winning 6 non-conference games. We dropped the Campbell and Gardner-Webb games that I thought we would win. Campbell has the best scorer in the country, and the GWU just beat Ga Tech by 10 on the road so they're obviously no slouch when it comes to mid majors either. Only problem is that we haven't been able to flip any of the games I had us losing. We all knew this December stretch was going to be tough when the schedule was released, but Mercer is a winnable game. Play smart, tough, Seahawk basketball... Stop beating yourself... That's the hardest part about the last two loses is we're not even giving ourselves a chance with all these turnovers.

To me Gary, it's not really about the W/L, i think like you most of knew we'd have some L's with a tough schedule. It's more in how we have been losing, at least for me.....

I agree with that, just trying to put a positive spin on it. Winning cures everything though... Get a W at Mercer tomorrow night, and get hot during conference and we can put this stretch behind us. We've basically had to reinvent ourselves with the Gasden injury. Toews has a lot of pressure on him now that he's the only guy, it's easy to see that. Other guys are trying to figure out new roles. Fornes and Sims look to be accepting their new roles positively, I think it's possible to get things going in the right direction regardless if Gasden comes back this season or not. Really need Ty Taylor to step up, he seems uninterested at times.
