RE: Unofficial Camellia Bowl Thread
I have been checking the post on this thread for the past several weeks. I see that ya'll have come to know TALON. TALON is one of a kind. TALON will never admit before a game is played that the Georgia Southern Eagles will not win the game. After the game is over TALON will be back on this thread to either coagulate Eastern Michigan on winning the game fair and square or congregate your team for playing a good game. TALON takes no post against him or the Georgia Southern Eagles personally.
I look forward to a good game this Saturday and may the best team win.

Two great reads! I loved the behind-the-scenes article. Don't think we've had anything like that in the 5 years that Creighton has been here. It's nice to get a glimpse inside one of his days.
How awesome was that "fake commencement" idea? This guy just gets it. We are so lucky to have him.

kokoeagle - Was looking at the EMU board, and one of the posters said we had a no name QB when their QB wasn't even good enough to play at Iowa so he transfered to EMU. They also talk trash about our offense because we don't have as many yards per game as them. Should be a fun game!
TALON - "EMU fans are not talking trash it's just their opinion. Saidly they didn't ask me what their openion should be!"
Why in the name of hell would you take posts from OUR board and repost them over here?
Just stop. Please.

You guys seem to take everything so personal. Like us supporting our players is somehow a negative jab at you personally. Either talk like an adult or take a hike.

Our fans are kinda skittish about trash talk, especially when most of it has been "you shouldn't have a program" screeds from rivals and newspaper reporters.
This is actually much more fun.

100% agree, nothing but annoying. Bunch of insecure dumb**ses. (with the exception of 1 or 2)
Talon, we got them right where we want them! Little do they know this is our strategy: work ourselves into an uncontrollable frenzy, not unlike norsemen before going into battle!
Wooden Nickle! You tailgate like a girl! Agghhhhhh!!!!!
if theres one thing i think of when i think of southerners going into to battle against a group from the north it isnt 'victory'
Burn.
We're talking about football, not armed, mis-guided warfare.....If we bring muskets we're probably gonna miss the game

LOL. We used to at least have a cannon we'd shoot off after a TD, now we don't even have that. If it hadn't been shooting blanks there were a number of ugly buildings on campus that could have razed really cheaply, but the powers that be didn't agree with my suggestion.

The insecurity on this board is real. I guess you are not used to having a fan base even acknowledge your football existence.

"Fan base".
You guys averaged like 16-17k a game in attendance this year. Couldn't come close to selling out your stadium, even when you hosted a ranked team. We have a long history of losing and ineptitude...what's your excuse?
Glad you have faithful fans, and I always support G5 schools, but stop acting like you're Clemson or Michigan compared to us. Pretty short-sighted.

Yeah I dont mean my post to be a shot at anybody... Im just tired of hearing about the offense and everything thats great about it, when the fact is, its even more pedestrian than ours. So when somebody says how they are going to hang 5 or 6 scores on us, obviously im going to come back with something.
We scored 5 or more times in 8 of our games this season. It's not outside the realm of possibility.
I predict 35-14 Blue Collar Eagles and the Camellia Bowl committee ships you easterners to the U.P. so the Yoopers can toughen y’all up

Didn't invent them, but definitely perfected them!
Let's not forget that Ypsilanti won WW2 for ya'll.
"Willow Run's output nearly equaled the entire airplane production of Japan that year. Ford's efficient assembly line methods led to a remarkable drop in the delivered price of a B-24: from $238,000 in 1942 to $137,000 in 1944. In all, 8,685 B-24's were built at Willow Run before the last contract expired in June 1945"
So you're welcome!
