Unofficial Camellia Bowl Thread
All things bowling and I'm not talking pins like in the video.

EMU's website:

https://emueagles.com/news/2018/12/2/foo...h=football

Here is the AccuWeather site for Mobile for December. Seasonal December temps are probably like mid to late October in zip code 48197.

Here is Georgia Southern on ESPN.

I'm having a great time planning my trip. Putting together a group of 7-10 friends from our college days to sit together!

And in case anyone else is planning on renting a car and driving from ATL, the rental prices are lower than usual. I got an economy car for $60 total.

Sounds like emu is on the way to selling the 2500 tickets they were allotted.

TrueBlue, way to go with the App State win. Were they ranked at the time?

Yes, they were ranked #25 4 days earlier.

The first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of this broadcast give you sense of how big of a deal this game is for both teams. It was a special night.

What is EMU's main rival?

Geographically, it would be CMU, WMU, and Toledo, but we were bad for so long that I doubt any of them would consider us their main rival (or even a rival at all). Central is probably the closest thing to a true rival, but their fans would tell you that they think of Western as their main nemesis.

Our main rival is all the naysayers. EMU vs. Everybody!

RE: Unofficial Camellia Bowl Thread
BTW, does it seem the enthusiasm for this year's bowl is higher than two years ago?

Would that be because it is in the continental 48 and folks can attend more easily?

Should be interesting how many alums, fans, etc. attend from the Southeast.

I think that is a big part. I also think we are no longer just happy to be there, we want to win.

RE: Unofficial Camellia Bowl Thread
Me and my wife booked at the Drury Inn about 6 miles from the stadium. Thought I read that the band was staying there?

Anybody have any idea where the team and band (if they are going) are for sure staying?

I’ll second Frank from earlier... booking and planning this trip is a blast. Can’t wait!

The band is going! I am not sure if my daughter was provided with the hotel details.

Pretty sure the team is staying at the Renaissance.
