Maine HC Joe Harasymiak is now an assistant coach at Minnesota. Maine promotes their OC to head coach.

Serbay next to go? He's posted a couple of cryptic tweets.

"It’s a cold world...bundle up"

"Things are always hard before they get easy; you struggle before you grow; you have to train before you can trust; you must believe before you will achieve; you will fail before you succeed; setbacks happen before comebacks.
It’s all part of the process."

London stated during his bball halftime interview that several more staff, with NFL playing experience, would be named next week. Assume that includes a DC finally. Let's hope he has looked away from his staff of the recent past.

His Howard coaches, Brown and Dowling both have NFL playing experience. Until announced otherwise I believe Brown is the clubhouse leader.

RE: New Football Coaching Staff
Although Howard hired a new HC, the previous assistant coaches are still listed. I guess he will conduct an evaluation and assemble his own staff sooner or later. Brown, June or Dowling might come to W&M depending on what he does.

While no formal announcements have been made. All of these coaches know their status. London has agreements in place. I assume Prince already has advised his coaches who he is keeping.

My non-informed opinions:
- June is staying on at Howard(I'd love to have him though).
- According to Twitter, Brown is no longer at Howard. His longterm London connections makes him a strong candidate.
- Acitelli was our TE coach. There was no TE coach on staff at Howard. They did have a slot receiver coach though. David Clowney. He fits the former NFL descriptor as well.

RE: New Football Coaching Staff
I'm not surprised that London didn't keep Andrews. DC, obviously, is a top slot and London cannot be faulted for wanting to pick his own guy there. Plus, the Tribe defense was good but not great (although, as many have pointed out, it was a lot better than Howard's defense).

Not keeping Acitelli, on the other hand, does surprise me. It is a lower level of coach (so easier to retain); he provides some continuity; Howard did not already have a TE coach; and, most importantly, the Tribe TEs are always good and presumably Acitelli deserves a lot of the credit for that. So he struck me as a good "keep" (also assuming, of course, that he would feel comfortable and want to stay).

I guess David Clowney may become our slot WR/TE coach. It seems Brown will be our DC. We shall see.

Some of our recent signees have followed Coach Brown. As did Zidenburg. I’d assume that all of the Howard coaches were already following him.

Anyone heard if any of our former assistant coaches have landed a job anywhere?

Andrews and Acitelli are quality coaches, I would not be surprised to see them pursue other opportunities. Until the contracts are signed I would put the coaching staff in stone.

Shame if he only fits in the system as a blocker.

Shame Devonte is no longer around.

Will the staff be looking for OL that are a bit more trim and mobile?

Howard had TEs, but used them more in the big receiver role I believe. I'll have to look at last seasons TE stats to see how they were utilized.

I'm guessing Marion is smart enough to devise his scheme towards the strengths of his athletes. Guys that win matchups should get the ball. Muse should be just fine

By the looks of the new coaches recruiting, they aren't going trim and mobile. Looks like they want massive and nasty.

Not quite on topic right now, but I’m hearing that Andrews has not, in fact, been pushed out and that he’s one of two coaches from the previous staff returning- the other being Bo Revell. I’ll be very happy with the news if true. Coach Andrews is highly respected and has had strong groups over the years. His D-line of 2009 speaks for itself, and he helped develop a few of those guys into NFL products. No 4 or 5 star recruits were walking into his office, but it’s clear he finds ways to push guys to hit their potentials.

Weird? I like Andrews, but it was pretty clear that he lost his job. It was even mentioned in the Yoder signing article that Andrews wasn't retained. Is he back in a lesser role? Seems strange to go from DC to linebackers coach at the same school. Was he relieved, but told he is still in the running? London announced during the JMU game that the coaches to be announced had "NFL playing experience." Doesn't sound like Andrews to me. I guess we will hopefully hear something shortly after the new year.

As far as I know only Revell and Kevin Lewis we’re retained. Lewis actually coached for London at Richmond.
