Who? Was that the short, spastic guy with thick glasses and dark disheveled hair? Sweat profusely and had vericose veins on the sides of his neck?

If you take out the Dwayne Wade years Tom Crean is an average coach. Definitely not on IUs level; UGA feels about right for him.

But damn Wade was great. Best college player I ever watched live. One of the best college players of my lifetime. One of the few guys I was absolutely positive would be an NBA star before being drafted. I remember at the time telling people...yea Lebron has to go first, but I don't see how you could take anyone else above Wade.

I saw Wade in the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament in Indianapolis. He was in a different world compared to all the other players there.

Watching Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade in college was watching men among boys....those two were standouts in college and NBA success with both being top 5 picks seemed inevitable if they stayed healthy.

Had to go check the numbers

Chris Paul - 14 NBA seasons and 222M...will be over 300M career earnings if he plays out his current Houston Rockets contract...hopefully Gary Clark and he become NBA champions with additional bonus $$$.

Dwyane Wade - 16 NBA seasons and 196M career earnings...already has 3 NBA championships and actually looks like a bargain compared to Paul above....health is obviously a big factor.

Paul ONLY 03-lmfao makes an estimated 5M in endorsement deals though to Wade's 14M in endorsement deals a year.

No doubt. I remember the first time we played them; I'm pretty sure it was when Logan was a first team all American. As soon as I saw him it wass obvious Wade was on another lever than Steve.

Honestly it was the exact same way I felt around the same time first time we lined up against Ben Roethlisberger.

These two were the most obvious star opponents I've seen in my 3 decades following the program. It's be awesome to eventually have someone on that level from UC.

Zero chance he doesn't play out his contract. His contract is a complete disaster and shut the door on the Rockets being legitimate title contenders.

Isn't Tom Crean Tom Izzo's brother in law or son in law or something?

Those were not good Miami teams he was on. It was him and a 4 or 5 win MAC team without him.

Ohio State loses their 5th in a row last night.

Xavier falls at home to Providence

I know it hurts our computer numbers but those 2 things still bring me joy.

Home court and the three point shot can make teams very inconsistent one game to the next. Butler is a very good example this year. They beat Florida by 7 on a neutral court this year and a month later they lost to them by 34 at Florida.

Xavier is going to struggle to have a winning season. At this point I can’t see it happening. The are actually irrelevant this year. Not bad enough to be a complete disaster worth talking about. Just another team that will be done after they lose early in the conference tournament.

Or some guy of theirs will go nuts off the bench and lead them through the Big East Tournament and to the Sweet 16 as a 12 seed. That's the cynic in me, just can't help it haha.
