Why in God's name would you think a FG there would be a good idea?

That was Johnston, not Hooper.

My bad. Now we know why Laycock sticks with Hooper...because Johnston is no better. Hard to believe we can’t recruit a better kicker to an allegedly FCS level team.

Can we at least not blow the cover in the last five minutes of the game. My wallet thanks you in advance.

Offense just frustrating. Can’t get any rhythm, even when we seem to shoe some signs of life.

RE: Towson
We have no deep threat without Dedmon and we can't run the ball. Towson was just giving up the outs and underneath game and rushing the passer well with their front 3-4 linemen. It forces us to have long sustained drives with no penalties, sacks, or negative plays. We're just not good enough up front this year to dominate at the line so our running game stalls and we're stuck with the dinks and dunks. Good effort on defense except for containing the QB and the last big run. Kicking game is a mess. Dorka and Windmuller were good recently, but hurt often. I can't remember when we last had a dependable punter and kicker on the team at the same time.

Thanks for bringing out the facts. The past is not as dismal as hyperbolic statements make it seem.

RE: Towson
Laycock said after the game that Mitchell was hobbled and that was why he came out of the game.

We had no offense in second half. And, as others bemoan, the kicking game just stinks. Hopefully our new coach in the future will get scholarship kickers. This tension on every punt and fg attempt and xpt now is just torture.

Lots of guys hurt today.

Just a matter of staying healthy and non-seniors gaining playing time from here on out. I just hope they make some of the chronic negativity posters on here choke on their bile.

Crazy Towson stat: The loss marked just the third time W&M has lost when leading at halftime dating back to 2014 - all three setbacks have come against Towson ...

Ijnteresting stat... Honestly, I can't think of many games that we have been leading at halftime the past few seasons... We need a big influx of talent the next 2 years to start competing again...

Ha, there’s only six seniors, three are receivers, probably down to five seniors for a bit. What seniors are you going to sit to give underclassmen more time here on out?

I know you’re not saying to sit seniors to give younger guys more playing experience. The team is filled with young guys getting reps. If the new staff can figure out how to use them, they will return next season with a ton of game experience.

When Shon came out, why didn't Hefter go in? And did anybody besides me think that Rotger showed more than Shon? I wouldn't mind seeing Rotger start next week. What's wrong with Dedmon? Available next week?

I don’t think who is under center will really matter. Our line isn’t generating the space for runs to keep the secondary honest, and aren’t able to give the QB enough time.

Maybe some of these questions will be answered on Tuesday’s interview with Jay.

I really don’t want to start a QB carousel again like last year. If Shon is ready to go, I hope to see him out there.

There are positions that could pull off playing with the injury Dedmon sustained, I’m not sure WR is one of them. I hope so for his sake.
