One fan base is really looking forward to this game now. It's been almost three calendar years since the last game.

I haven't really had any confidence in this team the last two years. Nothing yesterday proved otherwise. A lot of talent that is poorly coach or players lacking something else. Probably both. GS did what they needed to do to win. Not really impressed with them. Busted play on 61 yard pass and everyone chasing the QB without a thought of a reverse. But we have pulled some wins out of the hat against them so good for the Eagles. Nice win for you.

BTW I doubt even an injury to your center will help us this time. Not that I want him to get hurt.

We sometimes win games we seemingly shouldn't only to turn around and lose games we shouldn't. Tory and Louisiana in 16 for instance. So we'll probably win this game giving us a false belief that we're good and then turn around and lose to Texas State or something stupid.

App is a well coached team. Their players play with heart. Unlike stAte. App is gonna kick the dog#### out of us.

If App wins it all but guarantees that an eastern team hosts the first title game.

Appy is gonna love this game, and we’re gonna hear about it for years to come.
We match up well player for player, but we fail when it comes to coaching.

Where does this narrative come from that stAte has tons of talent but bad coaching and App has mediocre talent with excellent coaching? Recruiting rankings? I've seen it for a couple of years.

Yeah I actually think recruiting for our system is the “secret” to App’s success.

Ark State finally takes care of business in non-conference games and breaks the non-conference road losing streak, and now they're all melodramatic because they lost on the road to a team they weren't favored to beat in some models.

A couple of things to note here...App's offense won't negate the pass rush of Ronheen Bingham and Forrest Merrill the way ours mostly did. Those guys are good and will cause problems for most other Sun Belt O-lines.

Also (and I might take heat for this), but GS's defense might very well be better than App State's. Our scoring defense is only a couple of points higher than App and we've probably faced better offenses across the board. People will bring up UMass but they scored more on UNCC than App State and more on Ohio than Cincinnati. Our senior DE Logan is first-team all-SBC and the DE opposite him was a true freshman last year and put on some weight and might be even better than Hunt, and our pair of corners are at least as good as App's.

Sorry if I come off as trying to make this thread about GS, but that's basically the only real knock people are having on StAte. All in all, I expect App State to probably win by 10 or so, but it'll be an entertaining game and a great showcase for the league.

Do you think Clemson might have scored more points on you if your offense had kept you in the game like App did against Penn State?

I’m not sure who I want to lose.

One part of me wants Arkansas St to take out their frustration and upset ole Appy.

But another part of me wants App to further dismantle the more irrational StAte fans’ egos and prove the dominance of the East.

Hmmm...

Is there an A-State ego to dismantle? Was there one in the first place? Was there any doubt that the East was superior to the West? I know some people were hilariously predicting ULM to be at least kind of good, but that's their problem.
