Appalachian State, winning or losing, is the greatest university to ever grace a guaranteed federal loan's presence. I will have NONE of your shenanigans. #paytaxes

Also, he said he'll be glad to get back to defending the pass this week. Sure thing.

Defend the pass???

Someone needs to tell him App State has the #7 rushing offense in the country.

Between these goat humpers and fish eating big nosed chickens a wolf can't get a claw in edgewise. And App still sucks. Not as much GS. But almost.

I have no idea whether we will give App a game or not. For the last 3 years I've tried to be confident in our team. I can't I don't know who will show up. We might blow you out or you might make us look like idiots. It depends on what the kids decide to do next Tuesday. But until then...

The mountain boys are going DOWN!

I’m interested to see what kind of fake punts Anderson has up his sleaves. I think that will be the difference maker...

RE: Finally: App State at Arkansas State on Tuesday, Oct 9
I have been watching App State football for 25+ years. Season tickets for about 20 years. And, I have been to a bunch of App's away games, incl. Penn St. This year's team is best I have ever seen ... by A LOT. I didn't expect that. But, in the 4th qtr. of the Penn St. game, I could tell. Wow!

O-line is pretty darn good - zone blocking must confuse all defenses; QB is a great surprise, runs well with a cannon for an arm; great RBs that platoon well with a couple REALLY good freshmen just waiting in the wings; best receiving corps EVER (6 guys); TEs that can block and catch. Offense gets an A. D-line is something else in the 3-4 formation; they platoon 3 teams all game long & no dropoff in talent; DBs of Duck & Hayes are incredible; linebackers are young and good. Defense gets an A-. And, special teams are something else - a blocked field goal, two blocked punts, one on-sides kick recovered, one punt run back for TD, one kickoff run back for 100 yd. TD (at Penn St.), and a 52 yd. punt return to the 20 yd. line. Special teams get an A+.

And, the best thing of all this is the game plan. The Coaches have the team all on the same page. Subs come in & can run the same plan. It works.

Not sure how Ark. State wins this; maybe if App commits 5 or 6 turnovers & commits 150 yds. of penalties. Based on what I saw in the StAte v. GaSo game, I think the Red Wolves are going to have trouble with most parts of App's game. Especially the fight in this team. There is an intangible to this team that makes it unbelievably good. Best of all, 3rd youngest team in FBS. So, expect a repeat performance next year (and the next year too).

BTW, Coach Satterfield aint going anywhere for quite some time.

Not gonna lie, the fainting goat play would be hilarious considering the jokes. Met with a quack truck.

I hope we run the "hide the midget" right up your butt! (But that one isn't Anderson's)

How can we win? Play to our potential. Something we've not managed to do all year.

Oh, and Satterfield is gone when the first legit P5 comes calling with a checkbook. Don't lie to yourself in that regard. All these guys have a short shelf life and they know it. If that merry go round come your way you better grab the first purple unicorn on the ride and cash out.

Ok

Anyways

I think ArkSt improves a lot during the bye week but not enough intime.

28-17 Appholes. Who knows though ArkSt maybe just match up better with a more pass friendly team than a run heavy one.

We are 3 rushing yards behind you for the season. Think I read where y’all are at 1081 and we have 1078.

Yes stAte, just forget about our running game...

Georgia Southern 1081 yds, 5.3 ypc, 11 TDs, 270.2 yds/game
Appalachian State 1078 yds, 6.5 ypc, 13 TDs, 269.5 yds/game

We don't make excuses. Just like Saturday night. We examine and say what we think. It's still raging in our forums. We ARE NOT HAPPY with the leadership of our program. I don't expect that will change between and next Tuesday.

I can support this idea. Not the abuse of diphenhydramine and dextromethorphan (excuse any incorrect spellings, as I'm relying on phonetics). I mean, let's have some fun!

I will say this. Joe Cauthen as our DC won't overlook it. Whether or not he can convince our players to do their job is another question. They did a pretty decent job of keeping their heads and playing the TO that GS ran at us until that one big play. But when you run the kind of aggressive D he likes to run the TO style of play is hard to defend because you have to stay where you're supposed to and not fly to the ball. It also leads to some of the undisciplined play we've seen with this group of coaches.
Just MHO.

What I've learned from this stAte vs. App thread:

1. GS defense is better than App defense
2. GS run game is better than App run game
3. GS corners are better than App corners

Stats and unbiased opinions would disagree with all three

Ark State fans win a few non-conference games and everything is great, lose to Ga South and the world implodes. You guys act like Ga South is Central Arkansas or something...
