RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
speaking of Frisco,

the band clearly outnumbered the rest of the fans at the Frisco Bowl last night between Ohio and SDSU.

yes, i know it was pouring, but people would have bought tickets ahead of time and made arrangements for the rain if they were interested.

and a 3rd Michigan star player has opted out of playing in their bowl game against Florida. a growing trend among non playoff bowls.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
EWU selling some of their 4K block to the "general public"

Seems guaranteed NDSU will have 80% or 90% of Frisco. The home field will make it more of a struggle for EWU to pull an upset. Frisco was quite loud at key moments last year, and that was with a more even crowd split.

Pretty pathetic that you can't round up 4,000 fans to head to a title game.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
I agree, that's really pathetic that EWU can't get 4K tickets sold just to their donors alone. When those go on sale to the general public, 95% of those remaining tickets are going to be sold to addresses in Fargo, ND.

That'll also lower the secondary market prices as the supply increase lowers demand.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
Prices are dropping closer to cost for a few less desirable locations, but not seeing anyone take a loss, and most tickets are still selling at around $150 (twice the August pricing)

I’d expect the closer you get to Jan now, the more ticket demand tapers off due to the logistics and cost of last minute travel/hotel.

The EWU block was first offered to donors as well as season ticket holders. Guess they are hoping to sell a few to other fans rather than returning them to the NCAA. Bison know this game though and will snap them up.

Just my opinion but this is a higher risk than before to have to eat your tickets. Bison and Dukes have question marks. Any other fan base outside of Montana/Montana State won’t travel well enough to nearly guarantee a sale of your tickets.

Kind of a Catch 22........buy now at a good price and then if JMU doesn't make it, MAYBE be able to sell them on the secondary market or wait and if JMU makes it, possibly pay $100's per ticket.

Or, just go for a game regardless who’s playing. Likely a good time anyway, what else is anyone doing in early January? Hibernating?

I bought 8 last year. Turned out to be a very good investment although I would have much rather used them to see the Dukes.

Or donate enough that it's not really a question whether you will be able to get tickets from JMU's allotment. That's the best case scenario for JMU regardless of who makes the national championship game.

Yeah, the cutoff wasn't that crazy for JMU tickets either of our two trips to Frisco.

True, in 2016 I got them through JMU. 2017, I didn't get them through JMU, but bought them from a great season ticket holder who had a few extras.

Yep, I view it this way:
If we make it, I will have at least 8 guaranteed seats.
If we don’t, profit! These have been quick and easy for me to sell.

Historically, don’t believe it’s been a problem for the last 10 years.

The real difficulty is acting fast enough to grab some seats before the bison and ticket brokers do. It’s a race that ends quickly.

Bingo. Put that cash in JMU’s pocket instead.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
In 2016 I used 2 addresses to pick up 16 hospitality tix, sold 14 of them and the profit paid for the entire trip for me and my friend with a few hundies left over. I dialed it back to 8 hospitality tix in 2017 and 2018, they are solid investments and I'll be trying for 8 more this year.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
Think Bill’s correct in that the hospitality tickets are fewer and guaranteed to be more in demand even if JMU or the Zizzzzzonz don’t make it to Frisco. Good call.

Bingo. Put that cash in JMU’s pocket instead.

So all JMU fans should fight it out over the SMALL school allocated block of tickets, and let the bizon own 75% or more of the seats? 01-wingedeagle

For the record, I do both. Donate sufficiently that I am likely to be in the JMU block, and also grab 8 during the presale. If we don’t make it, I’m happy to take the profits, like last year.
