My attitude is that I support my team regardless of the adversary. But I'm enough of a realist to see that the system is heavily weighted towards certain competitors in this lovely competition we call college football. So I stated the obvious.

ULM did it, it’s y’all’s turn

I will rejoice accordingly.

For some reason I think current Bama is a tougher out than they were in Saban's first year.

Has Saban lost a home OOC game since?

Nope. ULM was the last team to do it. Pretty wild if you think about it.

Alabama has better players now than John Parker Wilson, who was a statue in the pocket. Terry Grant and Jimmy Johns at running back wasn't bad, but Tua or Jalen would eat them up. Any time you are -4 in the turnovers you are very likely to lose.

This may be the most talented Alabama team since Saban arrived. Get out with minimal injuries and collect your check.

Go look at their schedule since Saban arrived. Tell me who would have a shot?

To be honest, his attitude makes no difference at all in the outcome of the game.

The old "the SEC doesn't play anyone out of conference" canard...
Alabama usually puts one major program on the non-conference schedule every year.

Alabama 24 Florida State 7
Alabama 52 Southern Cal 6
Alabama 35 Wisconsin 17
Alabama 33 West Virginia 23
Alabama 35 Virginia Tech 10
Alabama 41 Michigan 14

In fairness, how many of those were at Bryant Denny?

And all of them were played on NEUTRAL turf, IIRC.

Alabama really doesn't play non conference road games. They usually play one big nuetral site game and the rest at home.

If we did there would be no end of gnashing of teeth and wailing from the northwest corner of our state.

There is no way the SEC or ESPN would allow us to escape Tuscaloosa with a win. That would ruin the whole "can Bama repeat" slogan that we are going to here ad-nauseum out of the 4 letter network all season.

Our best hope is that we escape without any major injuries that could cost us the far more important games the following two weeks @ Tulsa and vs UNLV.
