Congratulations on the new jobs!

Depends on where you work but traffic can be tough - I'd suggest trying to find a central location so you aren't battling with the traffic. I'd suggest looking at on the islands - good schools and great location.

I lived in Savannah for a bit - the schools have improved but most people tend to live out in Richmond Hill or Effingham. I worked on the southside and lived about 10 minutes away.

I wasn't a fan of Pooler - at least when we were looking at homes. It is growing too fast and even though some of the neighbor hoods were nice we just didn't get a good vibe.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are taking all areas into consideration but ultimately schools are our top priority. Looking forward to this new and quite unexpected journey.

So Savannah was beautiful, the squares are amazing, didn't take as much advantage of the open container laws as i might of just a couple years ago but did have one pretty wild night at Mcdonoughs and enjoyed talking to some similar age georgia southern fans, Sundae Cafe was a good recommendation at Tybee, was visiting the beach anyways a bit too much bread for me on their cheese steak but overall really good, Sunrise was also real nice out there, can be said the food scene wasnt that great but I'm spoiled by Raleigh, thank you all for the recommendations, I had a wonderful trip.

Sounds like a successful trip!

Glad you enjoyed Sundae Cafe..the wife and I try to eat there whenever we go down. Hard to believe food like that can come from a place that is wedged between a liquor store and a gas station.
