Man those gnats are no joke. Recently I tried a nature-related activity near Savannah and those mfers were swarming and buzzing around everywhere. Ended up running to our car for safe haven
You should come during gnat season.
When exactly is that? We've been there in Sept, Oct & November and at times it looked as though they were swarming. If it's worse during the summer I don't know how y'all get anyone to step foot in that part of the country.
The gnats carried my pet cat away when I was 12. At least, that's what my parents told me.

Just for the heck of it, I'll toss UTA in the pile because while not as common, Mavericks isn't that out there on the unique scale overall, it was a nice save from Rebels, just a shame that the NBA team took it on 8-9 years later, also a shame that whomever sold UTA it's current logo stayed up all night and then remembered they were supposed to turn something in first thing in the morning and basically modified Boise State's modification of the Denver Broncos logo."
Just a little quibble, but BSU (or more accurately BJC and BC) has had their school colors and nickname long before the Denver Broncos even existed. This includes several variations of horse and horse head logos. The Denver Broncos are the followers in this case. Frankly, my favorite SBC nickname was the Idaho Vandals. That one is truly unique and does not seem to be among the politically incorrect nicknames even though it denotes a group of people. Apparently, neither Germanic peoples or Romans are offended. Off topic a bit but, my favorite college nickname belongs to the Spokane Community College Sasquatch.
The "action" horse head logo for the Denver Broncos came out in 1997. Boise's in 2002. The first horse logo shown on Boise helmets was in 1972 with a rather ridiculous one in 76-77 while Denver had its ridiculous one 1962-66.
Boise didn't even play as a four-year school until 1968 but the Denver Broncos "copied" them.
Boise State (or as I said, BJC) did have their school colors (blue and orange) and nickname since the 1930s. I never said, counselor, that the Denver Broncos "copied" the BSU Broncos, only that they followed them in terms of chronology as one had the name and colors well before the other. I don't see enough similarity to suggest a copyrighted logo was copied by either party, but I could be wrong. What do you think of the WMU Bronco logo? I like it. More importantly, didn't you like the Vandals as a nickname? Sasquatch?
BTW, I respect you as one of the most knowledgeable and interesting posters ever and I have enjoyed your posts (and learned a lot) going back many years now. Thanks.

I never spoke as to Boise's colors. Only that the art firm was borrowing from Denver.
The Vandals aren't in the Sun Belt so their nickname is off-topic.
I think the WMU logo is even more inspired by Denver.
There is a difference between a direct copy which would violate copyright and having clearly influenced the artwork.
