Looked like CMU had a nice contingent in Columbus on Sat & Mon.
Hopefully UB fans will be able to make the trip to Albany.

UB should have fans all over the state of N.Y.
Should be a good show.

RE: Women's NCAA March Madness
From now on all the women's tournament games are on live. On Saturday morning at 11:30 #11 Buffalo faces #2 and defending national champion South Carolina on ESPN. Then at 6:30 #11 Central Michigan faces #2 Oregon at 6:00 on ESPN.
Generally speaking, in the women's tournament the 1's and 2's and some 3's are much better than the lower seeded teams and these kind of games are mismatches, but the margin of victory for Buffalo and Central over the #3 seeds on their home court indicate that might not be the case this time. In particular, Buffalo goes from playing the #6 and #3 seeds who were both Florida teams in Florida to playing a southern team in Albany, NY, where Buffalo should be the crowd favorite. Dare to dream big!!

There will be a lot of UCONN fans there, and they'll be rooting for Buffalo.

The dream about to be over for UB unless they have a big 4th Qtr comeback. S.C. has too much size and athleticism.

There was a time halfway through the 4 the quarter when it was down to 5 or 6 and UB stole the ball twice and had layups blocked and lost the ball, then Hemphill fouled out, and the chance was lost. Dillard was phenominal again.

Buffalo pretty much played head to head with South Carolina for the most part except for a couple of small runs South Carolina was able to manage-----still a very respectable showing against the defending national champion and currently 7th ranked team in the country. Obviously this is the best showing ever for WBB in the MAC with CMU and Buffalo leading the way but the league was unusually strong from top to bottom and next year could be another banner year-----and if so, hopefully, we will see a bit more national attention and respect for the league than this year which saw both Buffalo and CMU seeded too low.

RE: Women's NCAA March Madness
I do think this was the best MAC women's season ever. The overall strength of the league was never better, and that helped everybody's power ratings. It also pushed teams to keep working and trying things to get better to be able to compete. CMU was actually pushed to the limit in all three of their MAC tournament wins, much harder than they were pushed by South Florida and Ohio State.
It is hard to build on success in the MAC, but this year could be different. We actually got two teams in, and they were wildly successful and that got some real national attention. Almost every program has a really good and successful coach, none of them seem to be leaving, so I know they will be working hard in recruiting and of season development to try to match what Central and Buffalo have done.

Head coach salary for women's hoops isn't out of control like men's so there's a lot less movement of good mid major coaches to bigger conferences

Or......less incentive to fire based on results since there isn't a lot of donations or seat licenses at stake.
