Looks like Fricano is no longer on the roster. The only current PK on the roster is Ryland. Add in the two frosh and let the best kid win.
Noticed the same thing, competition is good!

For reasons which I do NOT, NOT understand... We win games, go to bowls, build a new athletic facility and struggle badly recruiting within Michigan.
That said, I have NO problems with out of staters, JUCOs, etc. etc. but still...

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
Interesting thoughts. One thought is that the early signing period marginally hurts schools like those in the B1G.
The logic: B1G schools who had recruiting losses in January (verbals who flipped) would raid the best of MAC recruits. However, now those same MAC recruits signed in December and are no longer available. B1G schools have to search harder.
*************
Group of Five
The biggest winner may be Group of Five teams. Before the early signing period, Big Ten schools would be able to raid smaller programs — such as those in the MAC — during January to fill out their class.
Now, schools like Western Michigan are taking advantage. The Broncos lost three commits — all to Big Ten schools — in the lead-up to the early signing period. But of their 21 current class members, 20 signed early.
When former Broncos coach P.J. Fleck left for Minnesota in January 2017, he brought along a majority of the recruits who had committed to him at Western Michigan. That wouldn't have been likely with an early signing period.
"Now, when you see some Big Ten schools have some holes to fill, those guys are all signed at the MAC level and I think it really helps those schools protect those classes," Trieu said. "It arguably benefits schools in a conference like the MAC more than it does schools, say, in the Big Ten.”
That advantage is cancelled out if a school undergoes a coaching change.

The GLIAC has 3 on this list and EMU has 0. That is somewhat surprising.
I wonder how much of this is the parent perception of EMU/Ypsi?

I think perception is part of the problem. Many people are pleasantly surprised after they see campus. The trick is to get them here. People from other areas don't have a perception until they get here.
I also think too many people have a hard time seeing past UM. Many don't even know EMU and the MAC are in the same D1.
Just keep winning and this should take care of itself.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
FYI, speaking of reputation, I saw some great news on Ypsilanti's reduction in crime over the last few years. Per FBI data, Ypsi ranked 6th best in the country in reduction of criminal activity from 2006-2016.
We should all be spreading this far and wide to change whatever perceptions exist about Ypsilanti. Didn't see this mentioned here.

This is shady. An ACT composite score of 30 is the 93rd percentile. I be his ACT is better than 99% of all UM athletes.

Beyond shady, straight up garbage by Harbaugh. You are absolutely correct, except that 30 ACT is better than 99.9% of UM athletes (not 99%), especially Harbaugh football recruits. His new DT commit will probably end up some Juco kid with an ACT about 10 points lower.
I don't get what these kids see in Harbaugh. Obviously not his success on the field. He just comes across as the ultimate shady used car salesman, and a story like this isn't surprising at all.

A dozen are top 20 at their position nationally.
