TK's job is also secure as GS AD since Lunsford was a fan favorite. If he doesn't work out, fans cant be too mad at TK.
Uh, no.
my bad. I thought majority GS loved CCL and CCL is a "true blue"
It has zero to do with appreciating Chad. I know him quite well.
the way I see it, your AD gave what your fans wanted. To be fair, GS suddenly looks like a 6 win team that can beat half of SunBelt.
You are just reacting based on what you've seen from a fraction of our fans.
The AD was in a no-win position.
But this is nothing new about our split fanbase. A brief historical look at a number of divergent paths that has kept some of us cranky.
1990 - Tim Stowers was hired over Mike Healey
2002 - Mike Sewak hired over Rusty Russell
2006 - BVG hired over anybody
2015 - Summers hired out of left field
2017 - TBD
The thing is, there is a vocal group, growing smaller as the group ages and they are flexbone or bust at every coaching hire.
The above hiring picks have happened under 3 different AD's. Each have had their own period of time at Georgia Southern where they've made at least one incredibly poor decision.
But of course, no one is perfect.
I like Chad, he has the motivational talents IMO to get the job done, I just hope he has the gravitational pull to improve our assistant coaching staff. That was the biggest failure by Summers and our AD with the last iteration.
